The world of Goblin Slayer is very cruel and merciless.
Human villages are raided by hordes of goblins, women are raped, children are killed, houses are set on fire and similarly on the other hand goblin caves are raided by adventurers, goblin children killed, burnt alive.

Gancrest Senki is very similar to Goblin Slayer when it comes to the premise, world-building, and the characters and powers.

This anime has a very exciting and thrilling plot with one of the best sets of characters.
Owari no Seraph is somewhat similar to Goblin Slayer as it also falls under a fantasy adventure with some elements of mystery and thriller.
In the world of Owari no Seraph, a mysterious virus kills off all the adults in the world, this is when the Vampires emerge from the shadows to take control of the world and capture all the surviving orphans.

14. Akame Ga Kill!
What do you say about a combination of politics and fantasy?
I say bring it on! Akame ga Kill! is an anime set in a fantasy world where corruption, politics, assassinations prevail and the likes of the commoners eat nothing but dust.
Amongst this chaos rises a Revolutionary Army and within them, a group of skilled assassins called the Night Raid.
They strive to overthrow the power-hungry Prime Minister who controls the child emperor for his gains.
The anime is somewhat similar to Goblin Slayer in some aspects like the adventure fantasy with some cool ass weapons and magical powers. It is definitely worth a watch.
13. The Legend of the Legendary Heroes
The title of this anime is way too corny for me to take this anime seriously. I believe it definitely could have been named a little bit better, just a tad bit better!
But don’t judge a book by its cover! The anime is actually quite interesting.
It has a slow start but it picks up the pace of the plot and the action after a few episodes of world-building and character introductions.
The plot is about a mage adventurer who goes by, Lute Ryner, he possesses what is called an Alpha Stigma, a rare mysterious, and powerful eye that has the powers to analyze any type of magic.
The plot is very suspenseful and thrilling very similar to that of Goblin Slayer, thus if you loved Goblin Slayer you would probably like Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu.
12. Claymore
If you love an adventure with a solid duo for the main characters this is the anime for you! Claymore is set in a fantasy world where monsters called “youma” terrorize villages.
One such village where Raki, a brown-haired boy lived was attacked by a youma.
Raki sees all of his close ones die in front of him, that’s when Clare, a Claymore, a half-human half-youma being made to exterminate youma saves Raki from danger.
Raki then accompanies Clare, as her cook on her adventures, killing youma, saving people and more!
The anime is quite interesting and has a suspenseful overarching storyline with Clare at its center.
The anime is quite similar to Goblin Slayer, it is kinda like Youma Slayer!
11. Nanatsu no Taizai
Seven Deadly Sins is quite a famous fantasy anime. It is set in a world where magic, knights, and other mystical creatures exist, even a talking pig.
The anime is about a group of experienced and exceptional knight warriors called the, “Seven Deadly Sins” and their story about the war with the Holy Knights and the coup against the King.
The anime is kind of similar to Goblin Slayer, it has lots of action and amazing superpowers and magical items and weapons along with creatures like fairies, giants, etc.
This anime doesn’t need much hype from me! It is already famous amongst all the adventure fantasy enthusiasts.
10. Drifters
Drifters is an anime set in a world where mystical creatures and monsters exist, along with some of the popular historical figures like kings and knights from Japanese history.
The anime starts with a war where we follow Toyohisa Shimazu, who is acting as the rearguard for his retreating troops.
The deeply wounded rearguard suddenly somehow gets sent to a shining, high-class modern hallway with hundreds of doorways.
The anime follows Toyohisa on his adventures through ancient Japan but with the existence of mythical creatures.
The anime has similar elements of surprise and thrill along with a fantasy world!
9. Log Horizon
Another isekai anime with a similar setting as the Goblin Slayer except for the isekai part.
Log Horizon is an MMORPG game isekai with the game world being fantasy and mythical creatures.
The plot begins with a large number of gamers getting trapped inside the MMORPG universe of Elder Tale, a game with monsters, mages, demons, knights, etc.
The protagonist Shiroe is one of these gamers trapped in Elder Tale, but due to his knowledge of gaming and adventure tales, he sets out to explore the limits of Elder Tale.
Except for the Isekai element, the anime is quite similar to Goblin Slayer, with magic and knight and some suspenseful overarching story.
8. Overlord
Another isekai about an MMORPG game but this time instead of the protagonist being a novice adventurer who has to train and develop his skills the protagonist is the leader of a dark guild.
When the game called Yggdrasil announces the discontinuation of Momonga the powerful lord of Ainz, the dark guild spends his final moments in the game when he notices that the game has shut down but everything continues to live!
Amazed by this, he orders his minions to take hold of this new world and make it his own thus comes the name, Overlord.
This is an anime like overlord & quite similar like thrilling story and mysterious plot but differs in characters and has a wildly different protagonist.
7. That time I got reincarnated as a Slime
I’m really sorry but this is definitely not the last Isekai on this list! What can I do?
Goblin Slayer kind of led me into the Iskeai tarin strong!
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta ken is absolutely amazing. A 37-year-old virgin Satoru gets stabbed to death by a running thief on the footpath and dies due to loss of blood!
He then gets reincarnated as a slime in a world filled with mythical creatures like dragons, demons, dwarves, wolves, goblins, trolls, ogres, you name it Slime has it!
Goblin Slayer universe is kind of similar to Slime world, it even has lizardmen!
If you enjoyed Goblin Slayer you would most definitely enjoy That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime!
6. Re:ZERO
Okay, I promise this is the last Isekai on this list. Let’s end the isekai train with an absolute banger of an anime!
There is not much to complain about Re: ZERO, it has romance, adventure, an interesting and thrilling plot and it even has an interesting set of Re: Zero characters.
The protagonist, Subaru, yeah like the car, is reincarnated in a world where he has the power of going back in time if he ever gets murdered in that world.
If he is killed, he reawakens at a time where he wasn’t with all the memory of him dying perfectly intact.
This anime is not that similar to Goblin Slayer when compared to other anime on this list but it definitely has kind of the same vibe. I think if you loved Goblin Slayer you are sure to love this anime too!
5. D.Gray-man
D.Gray-man is an amazing manga set in a world thousand years ago when men were bestowed by the powers of a god, who fought for justice and peace.
These gifted men fought against the evil darkness called, “Akuma” which literally translates to The Devil, led by the Earl.
To stop the Earl an organization by the name of Black Order, knights who could possess the power of innocence that could destroy Akuma.
The manga is amazing and triumphs in art style, plot, and character development.
Though world-building is not my favorite it is still quite popular amongst adventure fantasy enthusiasts.
4. Ancient Magus Bride
This anime has kind of Beauty and The Beast vibes in my opinion. It is obviously not an exact rip-off but somewhere it was probably inspired by the concept.
The plot follows a mysterious woman with the ability to see otherworldly creatures, due to this ability she always felt like an outcast.
Abandoned by her own parents she was led to actually sell herself in the slave market!
Saved by a beast or maybe a man, Elias Ainsworth takes her in as his apprentice rather than a slave and treats her well as he knows how it feels like to be an outcast more than anything.
The plot has a mystical setting and it does have elements of adventure and shounen vibe to it but it also differs a lot from Goblin Slayer in other aspects.
3. Berserk
This is an gore anime, so if you’re not okay with blood, splatter, corpses, dismembered shit on the ground, I advise you to stay away.
Berserk is about a boy named Guts, literally born out of his mother’s spilling guts, he only knows one thing, going Berserk!
Bloodshed is everything Guts has ever seen and killing is the only thing he has ever done!
Guts is soon recruited into a faction by the White Hawk, the leader. He then goes on an adventure with this band and realizes a lot of things.
The anime has similar character development, not exactly the same but very similar growth is seen in the main characters.
2. Made in Abyss
Coming in at number two only second to one, Made in Abyss is about a deep, gaping chasm that stretches to the depths of the world making you more and more curious about it as you stand atop it.
Plenty try to look into the depths of the Abyss, try to dive deep into the chasm, never to return to the surface.
These are called Divers and amongst them are the best of the diving creatures called White Whistles.
One such White Whistle, Riko, the daughter of Lyza a missing White Whistle decides that she too wants to be brave and adventurous like her mother!
The anime has some stark similarities but is also quite unique on its own.
I think all Goblin Slayer fans would enjoy this show.
1. Demon Slayer
This anime obviously doesn’t need any introductions. It has now become one of the most popular modern anime ever, with the recent movie, Mugen Train, doing wonders in the box office.
Kimetsu no Yaiba is set in a world where demons haunt the earthly planes and thus to annihilate them exists the Demon Slayer Corps.
An organization with lots of trained warriors called Demon Slayers, whoobviously, as their namesuggests,s kill demons.
I loved watching this anime, it has that fun and interesting vibe to it with a tinge of comedy and a very interesting overarching plot with Tanjirou as the protagonist.
There are a lot of similarities between the two anime but even if there aren’t I think you’d still enjoy Demon Slayer!
If you haven’t yet watched this! Go watch it now!
