When it comes to anime characters, everyone has their favorite type. I like anime guys with long hair.
There’s no denying that anime guys with long hair have a very different vibe.
They’re unique people with an air of mystery about them, and they make me want to know more about them.
In anime, long hair is often a sign of power and authority, which I like in a character, not to mention how handsome it makes them look.
So, I’ve decided to make a list of my favorite anime guys with long hair.
Keep reading to see if your favorite character made the list or not.
18. Gai Tsutsugami
- Anime: Guilty Crown
- Age: 17
I can throw insults at this guy all day long for the kind of man he was, but I sure as hell liked his authority and charismatic personality.
He was a great leader who knew how to get things going even when it seemed impossible, he was a strategist who wasn’t afraid to gamble on his life.
Sure he was arrogant and bold at times but he always did what was best for Funeral Parlor even if he had to lie to get his way.
No matter what kind of person he was, he cared about every member of the Funeral Parlor.
I sure wouldn’t have had a problem if he was the protagonist and the story turned out differently.
17. Shota Aizawa
- Anime: My Hero Academia
- Age: 30
We can all agree that, even if we disagree with his teaching style, he is a fantastic educator who truly thinks that each and every one of his students possesses the potential to become a hero.
He’s not usually one to dress formally, but a suit brings off his natural good looks.
He makes no real effort to seem good but does what’s required of him as a teacher and pro-hero.
I don’t know why, but he always seems exhausted, so I assume that’s why he always has a sleeping bag on hand.
You’ve got to respect his unconventional approach to the classroom because he really knows how to inspire his students to reach their full potential.
- Anime: Tokyo Ghoul
- Age: maybe 30
The physical look of a character rarely influences my opinion of them, but holy crap if he isn’t the sexiest ghoul I’ve ever laid eyes on.
The dude has black ink in both of his eyes and piercings in, what appears to be, every conceivable body area.
But, his physical attractiveness isn’t even my favorite thing about him.
Whenever he’s in a room with someone, his soothing voice, nice demeanor, and gentle expressions are almost enough to make them want to be with him.
In the face of unpleasant circumstances, he maintains his composure.
15. Kuroh Yatogami
- Anime: K: Missing Kings
- Age: 18
Calm, collected, heroic, and he uses a sword.
Because he looks like the guy he’s looking for, Kuroh saves our hero and flies him away.
Kuroh’s incapacity to think for himself and over-seriousness can make him very bothersome.
Kuroh adds comedy to the series since he is a sucker for details and believes everything is heartfelt.
Nonetheless, he is a cultured man who carries cooking equipment in his briefcase.
14. Howl Jenkins Pendragon
- Anime: Howl’s Moving Castle
- Age: 26-27
Studio Ghibli’s imagery leaves lasting impressions, and Howl is lovely.
His pleasant and captivating demeanor and stylish manner make you go “wow” from the start.
Howl tenderly drops a young girl off at her sister’s employment after saving her from guards.
Howl’s smile could stop any woman’s heart.
- Anime: Samurai Champloo
- Age: 20
Jin is a brilliant Samurai who outwits his opponents with his intelligence and technique, but I can’t comment on his IQ.
Jin, unlike Mugen, is a respected Samurai who only draws his blade in self-defense and dislikes oppressors.
He leads the gang in finding ways to get money while chastising the other two.
Jin stays calm in difficult situations and finds a solution swiftly.
- Anime: Naruto
- Age: 50-51
Don’t tell me I was the only one who thought it was weird when he showed up at the chunin exam out of the blue.
He has always been a bit of a mysterious evil mastermind, and all we know about him is that he was involved in experiments on humans to make them live forever.
It was only natural for him to work with a guy like Danzo to trick the Hokage. He hates Hiruzen for not making him the fourth Hokage, so it was only natural for him to work with Danzo.
He only wanted to become Hokage so that he could read the Forbidden scrolls and find out what was really going on in this world.
- Anime: Inuyasha
- Age: 15
Inuyasha is a half-demon who wants the sacred jewel to make him a full demon. A young woman named Kikyo stops him from getting the jewel.
Unlike his siblings, Inuyasha sees the world in a good way, and he would rather have fun than look down on other people.
He can fight even the strongest demons because of his unique fighting style, which lets him surprise his opponents.
Even though he tries to control his feelings, he loses it when he thinks about losing someone important to him.
10. Madara Uchiha
- Anime: Naruto
If there must be a “God of Shinobi,” then let it be one who knows the world is governed by fear and driven by hatred, and who is, therefore, familiar with the rules of causation.
Madara has stunned fans ever since he first appeared; he single-handedly took on the five great nations and easily defeated the five Kage.
The havoc he wreaked on the battlefields of those five nations cannot be matched.
As all he ever desired was peace, even if he had to take drastic measures to get it, he is, in my opinion, the finest Shinobi and the series’ best villain.
9. Itachi Uchiha
- Anime: Naruto
- Age: 21
Itachi is the best brother anyone could wish for, yet that’s not the only reason he’s the most well-liked character in the Naruto series.
Fake supporters may be critical of his decision to protect the village and his brother at the expense of his own clan, but he had no choice but to obey the council’s directive.
Itachi has always been a step above the rest, knowing more and acting in the best interests of the village than the majority of adults.
The village could always count on him, even as a member of the Akatsuki; he did everything in his power to deflect danger from the town.
8. Byakuya Kuchiki
- Anime: Bleach
- Age: 250+
There is no denying that Byakuya is a fantastic character because to his aggressive attitude and unique personality.
His family and friends are the only ones he truly cares about, although he appears cold and distant from them.
When it comes to keeping his cool under pressure, he’s the strongest soul reaper I’ve ever encountered, so that’s definitely something to admire about him.
But, that’s presumably because he rarely has to employ more than a moderate amount of power against any enemy.
Characters who are confident in their desires and don’t waver in pursuit of them are inspiring to me.
7. Jiraiya Sensei
- Anime: Naruto
- Age: 50-51
Jiraiya was Naruto’s godfather and a great man.
He was a pervert, but he never allowed his emotions get the best of him.
We admire him for sticking to his life goals.
He was one of the renowned Sanin, yet even Itachi dreaded him.
It aches my heart to write that Jiraiya was always plagued by the prophecy, therefore he never abandoned any kid he met and taught them about good and evil and how to live on their own.
6. Neji Hyuga
- Anime: Naruto
- Age: 17-18
I believed Neji was arrogant and selfish early in the series, but I was mistaken.
His sole crime was being born in the branch houses.
So, his system resentment was natural. But taking it out on Hinata made everyone loathe him.
It was amazing to watch him accept his branch house duties and try to reconcile with the main house members.
5. Worick Arcangelo
- Anime: Gangsta
- Age: 35
If you ask me, one of my favorite anime teams is Worick and Nico. He isn’t as skilled in battle as Nico, but where Nico excels physically, Worick excels intellectually.
Worick exudes a strong sense of being a huge daddy; if you’re going to call someone daddy, make it him. No matter what may come his way, he is prepared.
The most endearing thing about Worick to me is his easygoing nature and self-assured demeanor.
4. Eren Yeager
- Anime: Attack on Titan
- Age: 15-19
Eren, one of the greatest anime heroes, has surprised the anime community that fans are discussing whether his acts are evil or justified.
Most fans consider Eren a villain since he killed his foes instead of making peace with them.
Yet, when the world launches war on you, you have one alternative.
Tragically, no one appears to understand his genuine goals and jumps on the “Eren is wicked” bandwagon without thinking.
Eren is a victim of the 2000-year-old plot, not born wicked.
- Anime: Dororo
- Age: 16
Dororo follows the titular character, Hyakkimaru, as he traverses the country with prosthetic limbs and kills every demon he encounters in an effort to regain all of the body parts he has lost to demons since birth, at the behest of his father.
Dororo, a young orphan who gets by stealing food, travels with him.
Because of the close friendship they’ve formed, Dororo is always there to teach Hyakkimaru the ropes about dealing with other people and putting his sword skills to good use in the real world.
Despite their frequent disagreements, they remain inseparable friends.
- Anime: Berserk
- Age: 24
The truth is that I just completed watching the series and I’m convinced that there was something fundamentally wrong with Griffith, who will likely never be surpassed as the show’s most compelling character.
It’s understandable why many fans hold the opinion that he’s bad, but it’s not because he turned on his friends and became a devil. He was already completely insane in the pursuit of his goal.
He blamed Guts for everything that had gone wrong in his life, and after transforming into Femto, he set out to exact his vengeance.
Some may understand why he sacrificed his army to achieve godhood, but no one can fathom why he harbored resentment toward guts.
1. Dietfried Bougainvillea
- Anime: Violet Evergarden
- Age: 30
I think the most astounding aspect of Dietfried’s character growth was how quickly and thoroughly he overcame his initial hatred by the audience. After Violet, he quickly became one of my favorite characters in the show.
He is better known as Gilbert Bougainvillea’s older brother, and it was he who enlisted Violet and offered her as a gift to Gilbert upon the latter’s promotion.
Dietfried has a self-centered and charismatic demeanor, yet he masks his actual feelings by presenting a rough façade.
