Food p*rn refers to works that have food taking the central focus of a story as well as the artistic presentation of meals. Food Anime is no stranger to this phenomenon and there is a handful of popular series that prove this!

The first food anime I have watch was food wars in which i learn how to look cool while you cook and this anime shows us a every day activity with very intensity.

Whatever you do, don’t watch these food p*rn anime on an empty stomach.

Shirokuma Cafe is a cute series about talking animals running a popular cafe that serves organic food and drink. It’s super calming but can make you hungry.

10. Wakako-zake

Wakako-zake follows a young office lady and her pursuit to finding exciting food and drink combinations. It pretty much follows the dreams of a foodie.

Ristorante Paradiso focuses more on romance and drama, but it’s set in an Italian restaurant. There are plenty of glamor shots of food to go with the sweet romance.

Chūka Ichiban! takes place during a fictitious era in ancient China called “The Era of the Cooking Wars.” It’s basically an ancient Chinese version of Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma, but with more absurd humor.

Yakitate!! Japan is a comedy series that focuses on bakers entering a competition to help create a national bread for Japan. The highlights of the series are the crazy reactions from the judge and a Brad Pitt clone.

Dagashi Kashi shifts away from meals to focus on snacks. The story focuses on the daughter of a famous snack company owner who tries to convince an aspiring manga artist to inherit his family’s shop. There is a lot of innuendoes, so ecchi fans will love it too!

Amaama to Inazuma shows how good food can bring family and friends together. The story of a single father trying to care for his daughter will warm your heart while bringing out laughter.

Who knew fantasy food could look so delicious? Toriko blends shounen action with cooking to create a fun tale of adventurers on a quest to create their personal full-course meals.

Koufuku is should have been titled Food P*rn: The Anime. Shaft’s animation of the food and the character’s expressions make it tough to watch on an empty stomach.

Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma is the most popular cooking series and for good reason. The series employs chef Yuki Morisaki to help come up with the recipes and cooking techniques for all the food found in the show.

Couple this with the funny writing and cool characters, and you have a recipe for success!
