A mix of action, comedy, adventure, and supernatural anime, Jujutsu Kaisen is the life of a high schooler named Itadori Yuuji. Itadori lives in the club, engaging in a mystic pastime with the occult club. 

When he haphazardly stumbles upon an object that is cursed, his peaceful life becomes a bit spooky. After eating the object that is cursed and examining it, it turns out to be an axe belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen.

He is known as the “King of Curses.” Yuuji finds himself forced into the world of curses–dreadful entities born of human hate and negativity–triggering a sequence of extraordinary events. 

When he is introduced to a hidden human race, Itadori begins his perilous journey as a Jujutsu sorcerer.

Season 1

The initial season of Jujutsu Kaisen was released on October 3, 2020, and ran until March 27, 2021. 

The initial season consists of 24 episodes, and each episode runs for 23 minutes. 

The show has been rated as 17+ because of the depiction of violence and sexual content. 

It was given an 8.7/10 review on IMBD, and 90% of users on Google agreed with the film.

Upcoming Projects

There was no announcement on the premiere of the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen. 

But, towards the end of the first season, the creators made it seem like they were releasing a teaser trailer for the upcoming film.

On the 13th of June, 2021, the official Twitter account finally announced the release date of the film as December 24th, 2021.

Who is Satoru Gojo?

Satoru Gojo is one of the main characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. He, along with other sorcerers, is determined to protect the world from the cursed spirits that afflict it. 

Gojo believes that the structure of Jujutsu’s sorcerer society is ineffective and is seeking to fix it.

So, he works as an instructor at Jujutsu High, an institution that is dedicated to the advancement of the next generation of Jujutsu Sorcerers, to accomplish his goals.

In the Japanese version of the adaptation to anime, the character is voiced by Yuichi Nakamura. However, in the English version, he’s the voice of Kaiji Tang.

The prize for the best antagonist in the Anime Awards 2021 was given to Ryomen Sukuna

The contenders for the award among Sukuna in the competition included “En” from Dorohedoro, “Rachel” in Tower of God, “Echidna” from RE Zero: Starting from Another World (Season 2), as well as “Overhaul” in Boku No Hero Academia, and “Akito Soma” from Fruits Basket (Season 2).
