Bungou Stray Dogs or ‘Bungō Sutorei Doggusu’ name in Japanese is the supernatural action animation series which is based on the manga of the same name.
The story writes by Kafka Asagiri and the illustrator of the story is Sango Harukawa. The manga first published in the year 2012 on December 4, and after the published the manga was adapted into anime television series.
After being adopted as anime the first season of Bungou Stray Dogs was premiered on April 7, 2016, and become a hit in the first shot among the viewers and for a newcomer like this it was hard to create that kind of fanbase but Stray Dogs succeed themselves in this.
After all that they quickly premiered the second season just months later on October 6, 2016. And with a little break after an almost three-year gap, they released the new season which is also the third season of the Bungou Stray Dogs in 2019.
Since then, fans are eagerly waiting for the new season that would be the fourth on the list because it is not the end although.
Bungou Stray Dogs Season 4 Release Date
With the release of the third season which was premiered on 2019, April 12, and the final episode was premiered on June 28, 2019.
And it was also cleared that they haven’t wasted their single year after released of the second year they released an OVA special episode, titled Bungou Stray Dogs: Hitori Ayumu, and on March 3, 2018, the movie called Bungou Stray Dogs: Dead Apple was released and so Season 3.
Although the announcement for the fourth season was uncleared and there has been no official confirmation for a new season because of the current COVID situation.
But Guys don’t lose your hope yet so, with our best guess the fourth season will be released sometime around 2021 or 2022.

Bungou Stray Dogs Plot
Bungou Stray Dogs story was based on the supernatural thing and focused on the group of young detectives who use their supernatural power and a singular focus on a boy named Atsushi Nakajima who is the main protagonist of the series.
The show starts where Atsushi was kicked out of his normal-looking orphanage because people suspected that he is responsible for the strange happenings in the surroundings. And after being kicked out with no food and nowhere to go he becomes hopeless and reached the verge of death.
But his ill fate turns into good when he rescued a man named Osamu Dazai who is also like him with supernatural powers and get to know more about him that he is a supernatural detective who solves strange, different cases which are not normal at all and soon enough, he decides to help Osamu and Doppo Kunikida, in the crime-solving venture and become the member of the trio.
Then the show started following the story about the happenings around Atsushi and his team as they try to solve peculiar cases by Osamu’s detective agency, which is called the Armed Detective Agency.
And later on, to make the series more interesting for supremacy the show follows the tensions between an American supernatural organization called The Guild, The Armed Detective Agency, and their opponents, The Port Mafia, as the three organizations fight in it.
Bungou Stray Dogs Characters
As far as the character is concerned of the series and throughout the series, we have lots of groups with lots of people who possess supernatural power and in the three seasons, we have given the character who has been summarized at different steps.
Atsushi Nakajima
Atsushi is the main protagonist of the series Atsushi’s character is based on a character from one of the author’s short tales, The Tiger Man, and later after being kicked out from the orphanage and saving Osamu he becomes part of the Armed Detective Agency lead by Osamu with his partner named Doppo.
After discovering more about his power and solving the case of the mysterious tiger case he can form himself into a white tiger and also increase from any wound.
Osamu Dazai
He is another main character of the series and he is a supernatural detective who leads the detective agency called The Armed Detective Agency.
However, after expanding the power of Atsushi and when he joins his agency, he takes the youngster under his behind-stage and gives him further training.
Being an ex-member of the Port Mafia, he is extremely amazing, intelligent, violent but hides all his characteristics under his carefree personality.
Doppo Kunikida
Although he is not the main character of the show being always in the limelight with both the main characters makes him be on the list.
Doppo is shown as the planner of the trio who likes to plan everything with perfection the ways of perfection, he has a habit to write down his plan in a notebook.
And with the fun fact, his notebook holds his power which allows him to will any notebook-sized object into survival by writing in it.
Now let talk about the members who are also taking part in the show somehow of the three groups.
The Armed Detective Agency and most of the characters are named after popular Japanese authors, which include Ranpo Edogawa, Junichirō Tanizaki, Kenji Miyazawa, Akiko Yosano, Yukichi Fukuzawa, Kyōka Izumi, and Katai Tayama, among others.
The members of Port Mafia are also named after popular Japanese author which includes Ryūnosuke Akutagawa, Chūya Nakahara, Ichiyō Higuchi, Motojirō Kajī, Ryuurou Hirotsu, Michizō Tachihara, and Ougai Mori.
Contrary last but not least the member of The Guild is also named after a Japanese author which comprises F. Scott Fitzgerald, Lucy Maud Montgomery, Margaret Mitchell, Nathaniel Hawthorne, John Steinbeck.
Few characters which we can’t leave alone are Agatha Christie, André Gide, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Arthur Rimbaud, and Mizuki Tsujimura, to name a few.
