Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance Trailer Out!

The Netflix stage event at AnimeJapan 2024 on Saturday unveiled the debut trailer for the upcoming animation project Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance.

The English version of the trailer announced its premiere in 2024, while the Japanese-subtitled version mentioned that it will be released this fall.

Netflix will be streaming the six-episode 30-minute Requiem for Vengeance worldwide, providing fans with global access.

The story centers around the European front during the One Year War, which gained popularity through the first Gundam anime.

Iria Sorari takes center stage in the story, alongside the iconic Zeon mobile suit Zaku II and the Federation mobile suit Gundam.

Erasmus Brosdau will be directing the series. Australian actress Celia Massingham lends her talents to the lead character, both through her voice acting and motion-capture performance for animation.

The team at Sunrise and Safe House is creating the animation using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5.

Gavin Hignight, known for his work on Tekken: Bloodline, Transformers: Cyberverse, Star Wars: Resistance, and Marvel’s Spider-Man game, has been chosen as the writer for the project. The director of the project is the talented German artist Erasmus Brosdau, who has previously worked on Origin Zero and Warhammer 40.000’s “The Lord Inquisitor: Seed of Ambition”.

Naohiro Ogata (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt) and Hignight are executive producers, while Hiroaki Yura is the producer.

Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura is the talented main character designer, while Kimitoshi Yamane (known for his work on Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, and multiple Gundam projects) serves as the mechanical design supervisor.

Wilbert Roget II, known for his work on Mortal Kombat 11, Call of Duty: WWII, and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris games, has been chosen to compose the music.
