ABOUT Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!
The protagonist of the Konosuba light novel series by Natsume Akatsuki and Kurone Mishima is an introverted student named Kazuma, who dies in a car accident and, in the hereafter, befriends the goddess Aqua.
He is offered rebirth in a fantastical planet, with the stipulation that he bring just one possession with him.
When he selects Aqua as his new love interest, the two of them are whisked away to their new lives.
In order to cover their basic needs, the two go on adventures and end up hiring the sorceress Megumin and the swordswoman Darkness, who prove to be just as ineffective as they were.
Both the first and second main television anime seasons had their world premieres in January. Season 2 and Season 1 were both available on Crunchyroll shortly after they premiered in Japan.
In Japan, the anime film KONOSUBA: God Bless This Wonderful World: Legend of Crimson premiered in August 2019.
In the United States, the film was shown in November 2019 via Crunchyroll and Fathom Events.
In May of 2020, the final instalment of the main novel series was released. The spin-off novels were written by Akatsuki and illustrated by Mishima.
The Akatsuki spinoff novels were released to the public in 2014 and now consist of three novels and two sequel books.
Yen Press is publishing Masahito Watari’s English translation of the KONOSUBA manga, as well as the original light novels.
Both the original Konosuba novels and the manga adaptation by Kasumi Morino will be published in English by the firm.
More comics and a number of video games are also part of the franchise.
