In addition, the main characters gain the power to transform into different variations of these creatures.
A crucial aspect is the arrival of humanity’s defence force, consisting of soldiers armed with specialised weapons capable of neutralising kaiju and restoring balance.
Their main focus is on the power of teamwork.
Although there are many similarities, Kaiju No. 8 is far from being a mere copy of AoT.
Although it’s still in its early stages, Kaiju No. 8 is a delightful and lively anime with impressive animation.

10. Hell’s Paradise (2023)
One of the standout anime of Spring 2023, Hell’s Paradise offers thrilling action, relatable characters, a touch of horror, and a captivating mysterious setting.
By the shogun’s request, individuals with questionable pasts are sent to a captivating island to acquire a remarkable elixir of immortality, all while being carefully monitored by vigilant overseers.
When they arrived at the island, the initial plan of everyone for themselves quickly changed. This place is far from being a pleasant experience.
Hell’s Paradise showcases a captivating collection of imaginative monster designs, including some larger creatures that exude a powerful presence reminiscent of Titans.
Despite being largely outmatched and ill-prepared, the criminals and executioners possess considerable power, almost bordering on the supernatural.
As a result, the show falls short of fully capturing the human versus insurmountable beast appeal of Attack on Titan.
9. Knights of Sidonia
Knights of Sidonia is a space opera and mecha manga series by Tsutomu Nihei, serialized by Kodansha in their magazine Afternoon between April 2009 and September 2015, localized in English by Vertical.
The series tells the story of Nagate Tanikaze, an “under-dweller” destined to become a Garde pilot, whose mission is to defend the massive spaceship Sidonia from a hostile alien species called Gauna.
The opening song for the first season is “Sidonia” by angela and the ending song is “Show” (掌) by Eri Kitamura.

8. Danganronpa – The Animation
Danganronpa is a video game franchise created and developed by Spike Chunsoft for the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, iOS, Android and home computers also have awesome anime.
The series follows 16 high school students locked inside “Hope’s Peak Academy”, their High School.
The students are threatened by an anthropomorphic bear, known as Monokuma, who gives them only one way to leave the Academy, to murder another student, and not be found out in the subsequent trial.

A group of friends creates a machine capable of sending messages across time, and cause ripples through the past and present.
The story of Steins;Gate takes place in Akihabara and is about a group of friends who have managed to customize their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past.
As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.

4. Gurren Lagann
Simon and many others live underground to escape the terror of Beastmen. Their dream of returning to the Earth’s surface seems possible when a giant mecha suddenly crashes into their underground home.
Gurren Lagann received widespread critical acclaim since its release. The series received an Excellence Prize at the 2007 Japan Media Arts Festival.
It’s director Hiroyuki Imaishi received an individual award for “Personal Best” at the 12th Animation Kobe Festival that same year for his work on the series.
In 2008, during the 7th annual Tokyo Anime Awards held at the Tokyo International Anime Fair, Gurren Lagann won the “Best Television Production” award.
In addition, the “Best Character Design” award was given to the character designer Atsushi Nishigori for his work on the anime.

1. Koutetsujou no Kabaneri
As the world is in the middle of an industrial revolution, a monster appears that cannot be defeated unless its heart, which is protected by a layer of iron, is pierced.
By infecting humans with its bite, the monster can create aggressive and undead creatures known as Kabane.
On the island Hinomoto, located in the far east, people have built stations to shelter themselves from these creatures.
People access the station, as well as transport wares between them, with the help of a locomotive running on steam, called Hayajiro.
Ikoma, a boy who lives in the Aragane station and helps to build Hayajiro, creates his own weapon called Tsuranukizutsu in order to defeat the creatures.
One day, as he waits for an opportunity to use his weapon, he meets a girl named Mumei, who is excused from the mandatory Kabane inspection.
During the night, Ikuma meets Mumei again as he sees Hayajiro going out of control. The staff on the locomotive has turned into the creatures. The station, now under attack by Kabane, is the opportunity Ikoma has been looking for.
