The official Twitter account for the anime revealed a key visual for the third part of the final season on Sunday.
The visual features Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman standing in front of a burning city. The text on the poster reads, “The Final Season, Part 3 – The Dawn of Humanity.”
The third part of the final season will premiere on NHK in Japan on July 9. Funimation and Crunchyroll will stream the anime outside of Japan.
The Attack on Titan anime is based on the manga series of the same name by Hajime Isayama. The manga series has been serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine since 2009 and has 34 volumes as of March 2023.
The anime series is produced by Wit Studio and MAPPA. The first three seasons of the anime were directed by Tetsurō Araki, and the fourth season is directed by Yuichiro Hayashi.
The Attack on Titan anime has been a critical and commercial success. The anime has won numerous awards, including the Kodansha Manga Award, the Harvey Award, and the Eisner Award.
