In this article, I am going to explain Sasuke’s Kekkei Genkai ability and some new abilities that Sasuke Uchiha has gained as revealed in the latest novel.
To be Precise, Kekkei Genkai means “bloodline limits” or “unique abilities,” which are specific to a certain clan or a set of people. Comming to Uchiha Sasuke part , his Kekkei Genkai is a Sharingan.
We all have been waiting to see more of Sasuke and his new powers and maybe fans are finally going to see something new.
But Let me explain the stages/transformations that are added to his sharingan. Let’s take a look at it.
Basic Sharingan
As soon as an Uchiha awakens the Sharingan, his abilities of Sharingan will be in a basic state and consists of One tomoe as Sarada Uchiha has as of now.
However, the Basic Sharingan has the ability to see chakra flow ( not precisely like byakugan ) and can also see clearly if the opponent has speed on his side. Basic Sharingan starts with One tomoe and goes till three tomoe.
There are much more qualities, so I’m not gonna drag it in further Portions let’s move to the next ability.
Mangekyo Sharingan
An evolved form of Basic Sharingan. Mangekyo is obtained when an Uchiha is in the trauma of losing someone close to him/her.
Sasuke Uchiha awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan after the death of his older brother, Itachi Uchiha. With his left Mangekyō, he can cast Amaterasu.
With his right Mangekyō, he can shape the flames or extinguish them. Because he awakened both of his Mangekyō, he can use Susanoo.
The straight tomoe of his Mangekyō Sharingan grants him fluidity in his movements when fighting. Sasuke is initially reluctant to transplant Itachi’s eyes and gain the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, claiming that his views were different from Itachi’s.
Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan
This is the 3rd stage of Sharingan is Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. When a person is transplanted with the Mangekyo of an individual with a Bloodline or close ties, it gives rise to Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
If the transplanted Mangekyo is from an individual in a Bloodline, it is seen that the Quality and powers will be supported very strongly as Sasuke has transplanted the eyes of his brother Itachi.
Rinnegan
The final evolved form of Sharingan is Rinnegan. Haguromo is the only one to evolve his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan into Rinnegan.
However, Sasuke got it by receiving half the powers of Haguromo in THE SHINOBI WAR.
Now let’s talk about Sasuke’s new ability. There is so much in Sasuke’s novel that is yet to come out but Organic Dinosaur on Twitter revealed some useful information about the novel and one of them was Sasuke’s new ability.
Sasuke is experimenting with different things with his Kekkei Genkai and he has found a new technique as mentioned in the new novel based on the story of Sasuke Uchiha.
So, what is that ability exactly? With Sasuke improving day by day, he is trying to solve the mysteries that Kaguya left behind and in the quest of solving those mysteries, he is getting stronger.
Sasuke’s New Ability Is Closer To The Ice Release
The new Kekkei Genkai ability of Sasuke is to use Ice Release. Yes, you heard it right as in the novel; Sasuke has mentioned that now he can use Fuuton and Suiton together to create ice.
when Sasuke combined Fuuton and Suiton. The resulting water vapor transforms into ice/freezes over. Although, there are so many weaknesses in his techniques and it is an imitation of the technique.
Well, if you see Sasuke was only managing to pull off the ice release up to some extent. Furthermore, there is still so much to explore and much to see.
The Kekkei Genkai ability he has attained is not 100 percent yet. Hence, he will have to keep working on it. The properties of Sasuke’s new technique are pretty much the same as the Ice Release but it is much weaker as compared to the Ice Release.
Only time will tell how and when will perfect this technique, but he is definitely going to master it. We all want to see more of Adult Sasuke and his abilities, and there are so many new things that he can do that we haven’t seen yet.
No doubt, he is on a whole new level now and it will be a treat to watch him display his amazing new powers.
