Part two of the anime will premiere in April 2023 in the same Sunday 5:00 p.m. time slot on MBS and TBS as the first part. Crunchyroll will streaming the anime as it airs.

As far as we know, this is the first time a female character has taken the lead in a main Gundam TV anime series.

The prologue of Mobile Suit Gundam, called “The Witch From Mercury,” was first shown to people outside of Japan on the Gundam.info YouTube channel on September 1.

On September 4, the prequel animation launched on Japanese streaming platforms, with subsequent airings on September 25 on MBS and TBS.

On November 10, Ichiro Okouchi’s “Cradle Planet,” a prequel short story for the anime, was translated into English and put on the site for the show.

The Gundam Aerial’s perspective is used throughout the plot, and the lyrics of the opening theme song “Shukufuku” (The Blessing) by YOASOBI are based on the Gundam Aerial’s perspective as well.

The short tale was first released on October 2 on the anime’s Japanese website.

There will soon be a novel adaptation of the popular anime.

The novel adaptation is being written by Yuya Takashima, the SF researcher and author behind the animation.

The novel will be serialized in the Gundam Ace magazine.
