‘Tis Time for Torture Princess’ Anime Gets Sequel

The official website for the television anime of Robinson Haruhara and Hirakei’s ‘Tis Time for Torture Princess (Hime-sama, “Gōmon” no Jikan Desu) manga announced on Tuesday that a second season of the anime is in the works.

The website unveiled a video announcement and a visual.

The last episode of the first season was broadcasted on Monday.

The anime made its debut on January 8th on the Tokyo MX and BS11 channels.

The anime was also available for streaming on the ABEMA streaming service starting on January 8.

The ‘Tis Time for Torture Princess series is available for streaming on Crunchyroll.

Yōko Kanemori helmed the anime at PINE JAM, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu took charge of the series scripts.

Toshiya Kōno, the designer behind Schwarzes Marken sub-character designs, collaborated with Satoshi Furuhashi, who provided prop design assistance for Comet Lucifer, to create the characters.

Masaru Yokoyama, known for his work on Queen’s Blade: The Exiled Virgin and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, composed the music.

The band will be performing the opening theme song, “Massakasa Magic!” LEEVELLES performs the ending theme song, “Ashita was Ashita no Kaze ga Fuku.”

The ‘Tis Time for Torture Princess manga was released on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service in Japan in April 2019.

Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service started providing English translations of manga in October.

The 14th compiled book volume of the manga was published by Shueisha on March 4. The manga has an impressive number of over 200 million views.

The Senyū. manga by Haruhara served as the inspiration for two television anime series in 2013.

Crunchyroll streamed both animes as they were released in Japan.

Haruhara’s Gakumon! ~Ōkami Shōjo wa Kujikenai~ manga also sparked a Flash anime in 2014.

Haruhara debuted the Suginami Tōbatsu Kōmuin: Dungeon Kinmu no Hitobito (Suginami, Public Servant, and Eliminator: The People on Dungeon Duty) manga on Shonen Jump+ in January 2018, with Shueisha releasing the manga’s fourth and final volume in April 2019.
