According to Little Teyvat, the developers of Genshin Impact plan to add another game play mode soon.
Information shared on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit suggests that Auto Chess-inspired mode for Ningguang’s Liyue Millennium board game could become a permanent feature.
Since Genshin Impact Version 3.5’s Fungus Mechanicus event was set up to look like an Auto Chess board, HoYoverse may be already testing out the rules ahead of time.
This kind of early leak should be taken with a grain of salt. Speaking of which, it’s worth noting that HoYoverse has registered a trademark for Liyue Millennium. If you had to guess when Liyue Millennium might first show up, most signs point to Version 5.4 through the Lantern Rite.
For two reasons: the rumored game mode has something to do with Liyue, and the festive nature of the Lantern Rite in Genshin Impact would make adding Liyue Millennium easy.
