Those who are already playing Pokemon Go can take part in the Timeless Travels event, which will bring creatures from Pokemon Legends: Arceus into the mobile game, such as Enamorus.
Timeless Travels has its own tasks for Special Research as well. These have fourteen steps, and you have to do many things to complete them, such as catching Pokemon, beating Team Rocket Grunts, hatching eggs, sending gifts, and doing curveball throws.
The fourteenth step, which comes with 5000 XP, 5 Golden Razz Berries, a Lucky Egg, and a Wild Pokemon Encounter, is awarded to players who complete the first thirteen steps. Many fans are unhappy with the Pokemon you meet after you complete all the steps.
New event rewards underwhelm Pokemon Go players
On the Pokemon Go Reddit, a user made a thread complaining about the Gible you meet when you complete the Timeless Travels Special Research. As you must defeat Giovanni and his terrifying Shadow Kyogre to complete all tasks, the reward is especially underwhelming.
“From the raids, I already have a hundred shiny Garchomp. I hoped that this 14-page quest would lead to something good. One user wrote, “That’s really disappointing,” and another wrote, “Agreed, a very underwhelming prize for a season long research.”
Another user wrote, “Having played for years, I’m not surprised by the rewards now.” To cross things off the list, I only complete the tasks. At 500+ perfects, I don’t even care.
For people living in the Southern Hemisphere, the Gible reward is especially annoying because it’s easy to find there, at least during the Timeless Travels event.
Some fans think the Shadow Kyogre is the real reward for the event, but you have to fight Giovanni, who is very tough, which takes a lot more practice than fighting a normal Team Rocket Grunt or Leader. At the same time, the Gible seems like an afterthought.
It’s helpful to have a Gible early on in the main games, especially since it evolves into the powerful Garchomp, but it’s not as cool as the final reward for a big Pokemon Go seasonal event.
