A new double XP event will start on April 19 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone.
For Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, the developers have not yet said when the double XP event will end. The start date of the event is available.
You can’t say enough good things about Double XP events for Call of Duty players. Double XP offers a way to quickly level up Modern Warfare 3 weapons, Operators, overall XP, and Battle Passes, as the name suggests.
Notably, though, these bonuses don’t always work in a straight line, and the event doesn’t always have the same focus.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone will both have a double XP event starting April 19 at 10 a.m. PT, according to a tweet by CharlieIntel.
Due to their exclusive benefits that tie into the conclusion of Modern Warfare 3’s live ops season, PlayStation players’ double XP event started 24 hours earlier.
Like we already said, we don’t know when the current double XP event will end. However, given how quickly Season 3 MW3 and War Zone updates are coming out, it appears that it will end before April 23, when players can anticipate the next Season 3 patch.
Keep in mind that the last Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 patch nerf was put on a new weapon, so it’s very important to pick which weapons to focus on and level up during this event. Also, as a reminder to new players, stacking Double XP bonuses with XP Tokens is not permitted during the Double XP experience event.
Modern Warfare and Warzone Double XP Event Bugs Persist in 2024
Also, fans have reported many XP bugs during previous Double XP events, and the most recent Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 April update didn’t say that any of them were fixed.
The difference in overall Rank XP bon uses and weapon bon uses was evident in Modern Warfare 3 during the Double XP Week end in early March. As a user by the name TacticalUniverse reported on Reddit, “Honestly seems like someone hit the Zombies game mode.”2x for zombies instead of 2x.”
In Warzone, the double XP bug first showed up in 2020 and has been around until 2024, showing up at least once a year since then. Fans have created many theories about why Activision would do this since it was called a fake Double XP event, but the real reason is still unknown.
