Updated on May 21, 2024, by Govind: Megalo Box Anime is an amazing boxing anime. It portrays the struggle of a underground boxer and how he became the number one champion.

It is created by the studio TMS Entertainment and 3xCube, which additionally delivered the second Ashita no Joe anime in 1980.

Let’s Review Megalo Box Ending

The series began directly with the battle between Joe and Yuri. And being a sports maniac, their fight excited me more.

Both Yuri and Joe were absurdly destroying each other in the ring, and they also did fight in a rush to finish the match they hardly take 10 minutes to finish 13 rounds.

Why Does Everyone Think That Joe would die?

There are two reasons why everybody felt that Joe would die at the end of Megalo Box. Most importantly, Megalo Box is a commemoration of Ashita no Joe’s 50th anniversary.

And also, in the series, if you’ve seen Ashita no Joe, at that point you realize that Yabuki Joe died at the end of the story.

And these facts made fans believe that Megalo Box ending would be the same.

The second reason behind Joe being dead is that the anime has been hinting at us all the time with the “Not Dead, Yet” phrase. In spite of the fact that it would have been obvious.

I do believe that a large number of the fans that have not seen Ashita know Joe but still trust Joe would die. Furthermore, this is one of the main reasons why they felt that.

Nonetheless, the anime ends with the twist with Joe not dead in the end.

Frankly speaking, in the end, I really had no expectation for the ending because, whether we can see both aspects of Joe’s death or not, is already somehow cleared up by the spoilers. Despite this fact, the end of the series surprises me a bit.

It was nothing special but If Joe died, I would have been happy, but then again, a bit sad because it was obvious. For what reason, I imagine that the Megalo Box ending is not worth it?

The entire scene in a specific way was so good damn promoted. And with incredible soundtrack and vibe of the series somehow make it more intersecting.

That is the point at which they choose to end the battle without showing who won. The scene abruptly bounces one year ahead. Nothing is clarified about who won, and both Yuri and Joe are alive.

They are helping Nanbu and Sachio with their boxing. Somehow in the starting, I was somewhat very stunned. I was waiting for some kind of explanation; I was thinking is Joe dead or not?

In any case, that is my personal point of view, outline for me, what’s your opinion about Megalo Box Ending? Share this article with more megalo box fans and don’t forget to bookmark MOW.
