A Certain Scientific Railgun Series Watch Order

Do you want to learn more about the anime series and films from the A Certain Magical Index?

Let me give you an excerpt of a dialogue:

“Hey, dude, you must check out the show.” A Certain Magical Index It’s a great show with some fun music for intros. “

“Oh cool, yeah, I’m sure I’ve heard about this show in the past.

However, I’m not aware of what it is about. Can you explain it without spoiling it? “

“Well, it’s all about science and magic, and the main character is very OP-powered, and he does not appear to be very strong, but he is a puncher-laughing.

That’s the story of a friend who recommended a new show to check out about eighteen years ago.

It was in high school, and I had just discovered anime in the past, and he was excited about trying to bring new anime shows to my focus.

He had a decent track record of recommending Fullmetal Alchemist and Code Geass, along with Gundam Seed so far (although I do not agree with him about Gundam Seed: Destiny).

This made me feel I had to try Toaru Majutsu No Index, also known as A Certain Magical Index, an attempt.

I immediately began to enjoy it.

The plot and the universe intrigued my interest. I felt that the main character’s strength was truly distinctive, and the music that was used for the opening credits was captivating.

There weren’t any English adaptations of the book the show was based on at the time, and this was the sole way to get to see the story.

What is the problem with a certain scientific accelerator?

This is a completely separate sub-story from the others that focus on the behavior of the accelerator. To be able to fully comprehend what’s happening, you must see at least the initial season of A Certain Magical Index.

The Places Where a Certain Magical Index Gets a Little Hazy

The Miracle of Endymion

Following the initial season of the series, the anime adaptation of the follow-up manga, An Uncertain Scientific Railgun, began.

In the initial season, which is mostly an introduction, the events that occur later on in the source material happen simultaneously with the main character. Perhaps a bit confusing, however, there’s nothing to be concerned about.

After the second season came out for each show, it was an exponential problem. Railgun 2: Railgun 2 thoroughly tests the waters of the first season Index, which ran concurrently while also presenting some things from different angles (and with improved animation).

Newcomers to the show who were perplexed by the differences between “A Certain Magical Index” and ” A Certain Scientific Railgun” were only mildly perplexed about the order in which they should watch the show. An announcement about an exclusive anime film and a manga spin-off, The Certain Scientific Accelerator, only furthered the confusion.

The reason it survived was the huge break that the animated series made following its second episode of Railgun. From 2008 until the year 2011, the show had two seasons: one of Index and one of Railgun, which was aired in different seasons. Railgun (the second season) and A Certain Magical Index: The Film The Miracle of Endymion premiered in 2013.

It was the seventh year of people asking fans “When is Index Season 3 going to air?” following Index II when it was announced that an anime adaptation of the show would air.

Then there’s the current in-production Railgun to add to the mix. Although it’s set in Index II’s middle, Index II It’s daunting to have three seasons of a show that takes place in two different seasons.

Did I not mention that the Accelerator spin-off also received an animated adaptation too? It’s enough for those who are familiar enough to scratch their heads.

However, if you’re unfamiliar with the show, you may be confused by all the different versions.

Let’s take a moment and briefly discuss (in an almost spoiler-free manner) each show before when we can watch the orders.

It is the Premise of the Premise and the Characters of A Certain Magical Index.

One of the first episodes from the Indexfranchise that we will be discussing will be the one that began the whole thing, A Certain Magical Index. The show is based on Kamijou Touma’s experiences as a student at the highly technological Academy City.

The world of Kamijou Touma is turned upside down following an interaction with a nun called Index. From that point, Index is enticed into the murky world of psychic users and magic.

That’s the primary goal of Index. series. series. Touma and Index discover themselves at the center of an ongoing battle to gain power among different factions that use magic.

It’s usually a battle between the latter, but the distinctive strength of the former draws the attention of many of their adversaries.

There are a lot of espers (people that are judged as having holding power due to scientific research) in the show, but the majority of them are sorcerers or other magicians.

Kamijou Touma believes himself to be the luckiest person in the world and is classified as a Level Zero Esper (someone with no sign of any power). He is a very special person, which allows him to block any magic or psychic powers. It is also believed the understanding that personal power is the reason he can’t withstand his luck. He’s selfless and willing to take on those who are far more powerful than he.

Index is a young nun who has 103,000 grimoires stored in her head, perhaps due to memories stored in her photo. This lets her easily recognize certain types of magic and unknowingly use powerful magical attacks. Touma is usually calm and courteous.

However, when she’s in the vicinity, Touma tends to take on the appearance of and sometimes behaves childishly.

Stiyl Magnus is the first villain that Touma meets, and also a past friend of Index. He is a master of runes and fire magic. His appearance, manner of speaking, and love of smoking make him appear older than he is.

Kanzaki Kaori: A close friend of Stiyl Magnus and Index. As an angel, Kaori has natural superhuman powers in addition to the incredible power of magic. While she’s serious and cold at first, she starts to show her softer aspect as the story grows.

Aleister Crowley is the creator and the ruler of Academy City, and he works to stop those who are on the magical side. He remains in the shadows and makes big plans that affect other characters.

The First Side Story: A Certain Scientific Railgun

The Certain Scientific Railgun is the manga’s first spin-off. It follows Misaka Mikoto, who is an esper of level 5, also called “Railgun” in her own stories in a different way from her involvement with the Index series. The story is more focused on the Esper side of things and is set before and after the index’s happenings.

This is also the only one that has filler arcs. Both the Railgun and Railgun S (the second season) include filler arcs that are secondary as well, while the Railgun TV series is the only one to have an adaption of canon material.

Misaka Mikoto: the main character of the Index series and the main protagonist of the Railgun series. Her status as an electro master at level 5 Esper is enough to be noticed, but she soon discovers that the events of her earlier life were more significant than she ever thought possible.

Shirai Kuroko: The only main character of Railgun is Misaka Mikoto, the best roommate and friend of Misaka. She’s a level 4 esper who can teleport herself as well as other objects. She’s a part of Uiharu in Judgement, the student-led discipline panel in Academy City.

Uiharu Kazari: A supporting role model and an esper of level 1. She’s a team player with Shirai Kuroko on Judgement. Although she’s not a fighter, she is a strong supporter of judgment by demonstrating her superior computer abilities.

Saten Ruiko: One of the supporting characters, is an esper at level zero. She is a close friend of Uiharu’s and also meets all the characters through her. Although she isn’t blessed with powers, she does what she can to assist those who are in need.

“The Miracle of Endymion”

Because of the immense popularity of the show, the movie, which is exclusively anime, A Certain Magical Index: The Movie – The Miracle of Endymion, will be released in 2013.

While it will be the story of the girl who may create a huge conflict in the city, some hints could be made (visually at the very least) about The Railgun Series.

In a Certain Scientific Accelerator, a Bad Guy Changed into a Good Guy

The last spin-off is “A Certain Scientific Accelerator.”

It follows the character referred to only as “Accelerator” as well as his adventures in The Index Series.

Similar to the Railgun It concentrates more on Espers in Academy City.

The show is set after the initial episode of Index and also during all seven seasons of Index II.

Accelerator, top-ranked level 5 esper.

In Railgun and Index, the character was initially presented as an antagonist, but he becomes an antagonist in the latter.

In the Index or Railgun series, however, he becomes an antagonist in the latter and also the eponymous main character of Accelerator

At times, he seems particularly savage and unhinged, particularly when fighting powerful adversaries.

Misaka Mikoto’s last sister is The Last Order.

She is the most distinct in the group because she is a ten-year-old while the other sisters are all similar in age to Misaka.

It is the accelerator’s responsibility to forgive him for his past mistakes and accept his forgiveness.

Where to Go to Watch “A Certain Magical Index”

If you’re considering trying out the series, there are many options for you! I’d recommend it even though there are some less-than-stellar parts.

Here’s a listing of each show and the best places to go.

  • The film Certain Magical Index is available on Crunchyroll with the Japanese dub as well as on Funimation with both the Japanese and English dubs, though the latter requires the purchase of a subscription. The film is available on Funimation, but you’ll need a subscription to view it in either of the dubs.

Conclusion

The act of watching A Certain Magical/Scientific Series in its chronological sequence is highly suggested.

Specials and bonus episodes have no connection to the main plot.

They can be seen at the conclusion or removed.
