It would be even better if those colors were to change to black. In this list, I’ll be exploring the Pokémon that have embraced a different path.
I’m making one additional rule: one of the Pokémon’s primary colors must be changed to black.
Unfortunately, there won’t be any new Pokémon with added highlights for those that are already black (Apologies to Umbreon, Luxray, and Zoroark).

15. Oricorio Baile Form
I absolutely love the combination of black and red. It’s just so captivating!
And if I come across a red ‘mon, I would prefer it to be painted black.
The Baile form of Oricorio captures this flawlessly. Of course, it simply switched the colors from its usual design, replacing the red with black.
However, this evokes a completely different feeling.
Oricorio undergoes a transformation, evolving into a more experienced and refined Pokémon while still retaining its passionate spirit.
Given its qualities, Oricorio seems like the ideal Pokemon to kickstart this list.
14. Charizard
If you were to inquire about your parents’ knowledge of Pokémon, they would undoubtedly respond with a resounding “Pikachu!”
However, if you requested a second, Charizard would promptly comply.
And although Charizard is a popular choice for many, I have a different perspective for two specific reasons.
Mega Charizard X definitely rocks the look without needing to be a black-colored shiny Pokémon.
Also, Charizard had a really cool purple shiny variant in Generation 2 that, in my opinion, looks much more impressive.
That being said, this is still a fantastic shiny.

Although its evolved form is often praised for its impressive wing-pattern gimmick, Spewpa tends to be overlooked.
However, this small detail caught my attention in this particular situation.
Yes, its black head is simply palette swapped with its white coat. However, it conveyed a story to me.
Instead of a caterpillar in a cocoon, now I see a daring figure in a mysterious poncho who has experienced the harshest realities of the wild west.
Although it may appear different from the rest, I absolutely adore black-colored shiny Pokémon.
And while we’re on the topic of black sheep…

It’s quite an unusual one! Wow, this black-colored shiny Pokémon is absolutely adorable!
Excuse me, my apologies. I must admit, I got a bit carried away there.
Can you really blame me? Take a look at it!
Wooloo is undeniably adorable, and its shiny form allows you to catch a glimpse of its charming little mouth.
Undoubtedly, shiny Wooloo is one of the most impressive black-colored shiny Pokémon additions in Sword and Shield.
11. Sandygast
I really appreciate it when a Pokémon’s design takes inspiration from the real world.
This particular black-colored shiny Pokémon Sandygast is quite shiny indeed.
The transition from regular sand to black sand symbolizes the presence of black sand beaches found worldwide, including Hawaii, which served as inspiration for the Alolan region.
In addition, the pebbles and shovel are adorned with blue and yellow accents, which adds a delightful touch to the overall design!

10. Furfrou
When you observe the standard Furfrou, it appears as though the white fur has been transformed into black, and that’s the extent of it.

These provide the Pokémon with a wide variety of appearances. In addition, the vibrant color accents complement the black fur beautifully.
I absolutely adore diamond and dandy designs, and let me tell you, Furfrou is one incredibly stylish black-colored shiny Pokémon.
9. The Tapus
I absolutely adore everything about the Tapu Pokémon.
Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Fini, and Tapu Bulu are formidable Pokémon that protect the distinct islands in the Alola region.
The designs are inspired by heads on a totem pole, and by incorporating black as their main colors, they achieve a more rustic “charred-wood” appearance.
This not only gives them a more seasoned appearance, but also enhances the prominence of their distinct features compared to their original designs.
Since all four of them achieve the same effect, I’ve decided to include them all together in one place.
8. Hawlucha
I have a great passion for wrestling and a deep admiration for hawks.
I was really excited when Hawlucha was introduced.
It truly captured the exhilarating heroics reminiscent of Rey Mysterio and his high-flying luchador style.
On the other hand, shiny Hawlucha takes a different approach by blending black with dark purple and blood red.
This gives Hawlucha a tone that is more intense and befitting of a truly impressive fighting-type Pokémon. In the anime, you can actually spot the shiny Hawlucha among the few shinies that are visible.
It takes on the role of a villain in a local play, incorporating another one of my hobbies into a single Pokémon.
7. Decidueye
Decidueye has always had a cool and adventurous feel to it.
This Pokémon is known for its kind-hearted nature, as it often sneaks into the woods to take from the wealthy and provide for the less fortunate in nearby villages.
However, when Decidueye evolves, its once shiny feathers transform from brown to black, and its face takes on a vibrant red hue.
This black-colored shiny Pokémon adds a fresh sense of intrigue and enhances Decidueye’s ghostly nature.
Essentially, you transition from a generous and heroic figure like Robin Hood to a mysterious and enigmatic character like the Phantom of the Opera. I fully support it.
6. Primal Kyogre
I absolutely loved the decision to give Kyogre and Groudon primal forms in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It was a stroke of genius!
It’s impressive to see the immense age and strength of these Pokémon.
Black-colored shiny Pokémon Primal Kyogre beautifully captures the enigmatic essence of the deep sea.
The black coloring, along with the golden light radiating from the lines around its body, creates an aura of ancient wisdom that spans countless centuries.
Shiny Primal Kyogre is truly an exceptional Pokémon.

I really enjoy playing Pokémon Conquest, it’s such a fun Pokémon spin-off game!
One of the most memorable moments of this game was the epic showdown with Nobunaga and his impressive Rayquaza.
I had never encountered one before, and it was quite daunting!
By changing Rayquaza’s color from green to black, it reinforces the notion that Rayquaza is the dominant Pokémon in the Hoenn region, willing to go to any lengths to maintain harmony.
Shiny Rayquaza is a Pokémon that commands great respect and admiration.

I would love to accompany her to the ball and ensure that she has an unforgettable evening! Nevertheless, I have a different reaction to her radiant appearance.
Her dress has transformed from white to black, while her hair has shifted from pastel green to a cool icy blue.
What was once filled with warmth and kindness now carries a touch of melancholy. Nevertheless, there is an undeniable grace and beauty present in this Pokémon that is unmatched by many others.

I must admit, the black-colored shiny Pokémon Haxorus has quite an impressive appearance. Actually, it’s one of my preferred dragon types!
However, Haxorus’ shiny transforms from appearing impressive to becoming one of the most formidable Pokémon in the game.
The entire body of this creature is adorned in shades of black and gray, while its claws and axe-like mandibles stand out in a striking shade of blood red.
Haxorus now has the fierce presence of a T-rex and the formidable aura of a black knight.
And it’s definitely my top pick for the most sleek and stylish Pokémon.
