How to Catch Kecleon in Pokemon Go?
Kecleon made its debut during the conclusion of the Chespin Community Day event, and can be encountered at PokeStops through random encounters.
They won’t appear nearby like they would with a Lure Module, but rather directly at the PokeStop. Sometimes, when you visit PokeStops, you might come across a Kecleon that seems to blend in with its surroundings.
Believe it or not, you can catch a glimpse of Kecleon’s transparent outline on the PokeStop spinner, even though it’s supposed to be invisible.
When you come across one of these PokeStops, you’ll find that spinning it is a bit different than usual. Instead, you’ll get this message: “There’s an unseen barrier blocking your path. It’s stopping you from gathering items.
When you tap on the Pokemon, it will remove Kecleon from it, so you can spin it like you normally would. After successfully removing Kecleon from the PokeStop, it will appear in the overworld right beside the PokeStop you took it from.
It’s not uncommon for players to have difficulty finding one, so don’t get too discouraged. They have been reported to be less common at PokeStops.
Guide to Obtaining a Shiny Kecleon in Pokemon Go
Kecleon’s shiny variant was initially exclusive to players who attended Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn in Las Vegas.
However, starting from February 25, 2023, it became accessible to all players worldwide during Pokemon Go Tour: Hoenn – Global.
Following the conclusion of these events, obtaining a shiny Kecleon is now possible in the same manner as any other shiny Pokémon.
