One of the longest and most exciting running toy-centric franchises in the world Transformers, and the Transformers anime series introduced me to this awesome world of anime.
Originally, Transformers were imported from Japan by toy manufacturing behemoth Hasbro in 1984 and Marvel was commissioned to come up with a back story for these shape-shifting toys.
Today I decided to dedicate this list to the home of this franchise which ultimately is anime so I have created this list of Transformers anime series.
Now, let us begin the list of these 15 exciting Transformers anime series.

15. Transformers Energon
It has been 10 years since the fateful battle with Unicron.
Many of the Decepticons who fought in the battle against Unicron have joined forces with the Autobos to mine for Energon.
An alternate energy source. But a new source of evil has a risen, Alpha Q who plans to steal the Energon from the Autobots with the help of Scorponok and the Terrorcons.
This new evil is trying to revive Megatron and Unicron in order to rekindle the old flames of war.
14. Transformers Combiner Wars
This Transformers anime is about four decades after the Great War between the Autobots and the Decepticons on Earth, the two factions have disbanded and a three-member ruling council rules in place of the absent leaders Optimus Prime and Megatron.
An uneasy peace has been created on Cybertron, but the rise of the Combiners threatens to bring it to an end.
Prior to the events of the series, Optimus Prime and Megatron have engaged each other in a final duel, while the new combiner Victorion has been born from the Enigma of Combination.
The new ruling council consists of Starscream, Rodimus Prime, the Mistress of Flame Caminus has been devastated by the Combiner Wars, which has set the formidable Windblade on a quest for vengeance.
Windblade, once an official “City Speaker” to the gigantic “Titans” is tired of the bureaucratic non-action of the Council, who seem to sit idly while her people and her cities on Caminus perish. She decides that the only way to end the Combiner Wars is to take matters into her own vengeful hands.
13. Transformers Armada
This Transformers anime starts on the mechanical planet of Cybertron live super robotic organisms known as Transformers.
There, mainly consisting of convoys, the Cybertron army, and their old enemy Destron fell into conflict to gain hold of a new power to join their side.
A new breed of Transformers known as the Microns. But, grieving over the battle the Microns set off to the other end of the universe.
4 million years later, on Earth, 3 young children activated a mysterious panel inside a cave. And somehow, that was the dormant Micron…
12. Transformers Cybertron
Forced to abandon their home planet of Cybertron due to the threat of the Blackhole, Optimus Prime prepares to lead his autobot warriors to Earth.
Just as they are leaving they are confronted by Vector Prime who warns Optimus Prime of the threat to the galaxy if the four Cyber Planet Keys are not gathered in time.
However, Megatron has plans of his own for the universe.
As they embark on the search, they land on new planets which are inhabited by different Transformer races as well as the Convoys who lead these planets.
11. Transformers The Headmasters
Headmasters starts with Galvatron leading a new batch of Destrons to wage war on Cybertron, the Destron Headmasters.
The Cybertrons are rescued by the arrival of the Cybertron Headmasters, led by Fortress (Cerebros, the head of Fortress Maximus).
It is revealed that Fortress Maximus left Cybertron millions of years ago in search of energy, and have finally managed to come home.
He explains that the Headmasters are from a planet called Master; the human-sized robots who live there built themselves Transformers-sized bodies.
They can then transform themselves into the heads of the robots, and have now joined the Cybertron-Destron war.
10. Transformers : Robots In Disguise (2001)
The evil Gigatron has led his forces of Destrongers to Earth, where they seek to pillage the planet for its vast energy resources in order to fuel their war against the Autobots.
If successful, the Destrongers will finally be able to tip the scale of power in the war to their favor, eliminating the Autobots and moving on to conquer the universe.
To this end, the Destrongers kidnap the scientist Dr. Ohnishi, Earth’s leading scientist on energy and natural resources.
Dr. Oonishi’s son, Koji, is contacted by none other than Fire Convoy, who takes the boy on a mission to rescue his father.
Although Fire Convoy and the other Autobots fight valiantly, they are unable to rescue the doctor from the Destrongers.
Now it is up to the Autobots and Koji to rescue Dr. Oonishi and protect the Earth and its resources from Gigatron and his army.
9. Transformers Victory
Set in 2025 A.D., Transformers Victory introduces Star Saber, the mightiest Autobot warrior and the greatest swordsman in the galaxy.
Following the defeat of the Decepticons on Earth in the Masterforce War, the villains have begun aggressively attacking other planets in the universe.
To counter this threat, the Autobots joined with many other civilizations and lifeforms (including Humanity) to form the Galactic Peace Alliance, with Star Saber as its leader.
Seeking the energy necessary to free his massive Planet-Destroying Fortress from imprisonment in the Dark Nebula where Star Saber sealed it years ago, the Decepticons’ new Emperor of Destruction, Deathsaurus (Dezarus), attacks Earth with his Dinoforce, prompting Star Saber and his team to set up residence on the planet.
8. Transformers Super-God Masterforce
Even though the Decepticons have been driven off Earth, a small team of Autobot Pretenders have remained behind, just in case.
Led by Metalhawk (“Hawk” in his human identity), the Pretenders live among the humans, using their Pretender shells to assume human size and appearance.
The Autobots’ caution is rewarded: Decepticon Pretenders soon appear, led by a mysterious force called Devil Z.
The Autobots and Decepticons soon build up their forces, recruiting humans to become Junior Headmasters and Godmasters (Powermasters).

TRANSFORMERS ANIME PRIME chronicles the triumphant return of the AUTOBOTS via the most cutting-edge computer-generated animation ever seen on television.
OPTIMUS PRIME, BUMBLEBEE, ARCEE, RATCHET, BULKHEAD, and many others are back to “roll out” against MEGATRON’s latest attempt to conquer Earth.
And MEGATRON proves to be more powerful than ever, having acquired a rare element that allows him mastery over life itself.
‘Team Prime’ may be few against the DECEPTICON hordes, but they find increased strength via bonds forged with three human teenagers.

5. Beast Machines : Transformers
The Maximals are back on Cybertron, but have suffered amnesia from the Beast Wars saga.
In addition to this Transformers anime, they are infected by a virus that prevents them from transforming back to their robot forms; it also reverted trans-metals Optimus, Cheetor, Rattrap and Blackarachnia back to their original forms.
They are also being hunted by mindless Vehicon drones. Finding the Oracle underneath the city, the Maximals are turned into techno-organics to survive the virus; now they must master their emotions in order to transform again.
The Maximals soon learn that Megatron got free mid-flight during their time travel back to the future, ending up there long before they showed up; he conquered the planet, and now he plans to take their sparks definitely.
Can the Maximals prevent Megatron from turning Cybertron into a post-apocalyptic world and exterminating every last Cybertronian on the planet?
4. Transformers: Rescue Bots
This Transformers anime is set on the fictional island of Griffin Rock somewhere off the coast of Maine, the Rescue Bots (a group of Autobots designed for rescue missions) named Heatwave, Boulder, Blades, and Chase respond to Optimus Prime’s message for any active Autobots in outer space to come to Earth.
Coming out of a long stasis, the Rescue Bots learned what became of Cybertron and that they are one of the only Rescue Bot teams remaining.
Deeming them too valuable for them to join the fight against the Decepticons, Optimus Prime partners them with the Burns Family composed of first response rescuers.
Together, they learn teamwork and heroism alongside their human friends as they deal with various disasters while also getting themselves familiar with Earth’s cultures.
3. Transformers: Generation 1
After five million years of war, Cybertron’s energy is drastically drained, necessitating an Autobot expedition to alien planets in search of new source of power.
Optimus Prime and his best and brightest board a mighty spacecraft, but their plan is discovered by Megatron.

Transformers anime Animated follows the adventures of a small crew of Autobots who come into possession of the all-powerful AllSpark artifact.
Stranded on Earth and living among the population of Detroit, they face off against a series of human villains and their mighty Decepticon foes, who seek to possess the AllSpark.
1. Beast Wars Transformers
Beast Wars: Transformers anime is a Daytime Emmy award-winning computer-animated television series that premiered on April 22, 1996 in syndication in the United States.
Though reviled by many Transformers fans when it first hit the airwaves in 1996.
Beast Wars is now considered by many to be among the finest examples of Transformers storytelling, striking a happy balance between character, humor, and story.
