The Sims Players Point Out Weird Issue With Pregnant Sims

The appearance of pregnant Sims from various perspectives has an odd quirk, according to one The Sims 4 player.

A lot of people in the The Sims 4 community are interested in this observation, which has led to a conversation.

Electronic Arts and Maxis worked together to make The Sims 4, a life simulation video game. It was released in 2014 and allows players to create and control virtual characters called Sims, who help them with relationships, careers, and daily tasks.

Players can make their Sims’ homes look the way they want, explore neighborhoods, and finally achieve their goals.

Expansion packs, game packs, and “stuff packs” are all available for the game, which add more content and ways to play.

By posting three screenshots of a pregnant Sim from different angles and pointing out the differences in her appearance, Reddit user adluzz brought attention to this odd phenomenon.

The pregnant Sim in the screenshots looks normal from the front or back, but the pregnancy is obvious from the side. What this did was make Adluzz wonder how pregnancy is shown in The Sims 4.

There were a lot of responses from other players after the Reddit post went viral. Some users said that similar visual problems can happen during real-life pregnancies, while others found the situation in the game funny and interesting.

To highlight the variety in appearances, commenters shared personal anecdotes about times when pregnant people in real life displayed similar visual traits.

Such discussions suggested that perhaps The Sims 4 virtual simulation’s representation of pregnancy might not be completely accurate.

How Does Pregnancy Work in The Sims 4?

Players in The Sims 4 play the joys and challenges of parenthood in the virtual world by attending doctor’s appointments and decorating nurseries.

Sims can get pregnant and go through three different stages of pregnancy, each with its own set of unique interactions and mood changes.

Players have the chance to personalize nurseries and take care of their virtual family members with the arrival of a new baby. If this gets hard in the game, though, Sims 4 players might need to use pregnancy cheats to get through it.

While adluzz may think the difference in the pregnant Sims’ appearance is unimportant, other players think it’s not.

EA is currently giving away The Sims 4 Backyard Stuff DLC for free until April 13 on all platforms as players continue to voice their opinions and suggestions.
