Bounsweet, a Grass-type creature that first appeared in Pokemon Sun and Moon, will be the Pokemon featured in the upcoming Pokemon GO Community Day, Niantic has officially revealed.
To celebrate May 2024, Pokemon GO will have a Community Day on May 19 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time.
A short-lived event called Pokemon GO Community Day occurs every month. The event offers unique bonuses and a higher chance of spotting a featured creature.
Usually, if the featured creature evolves during the event, its later generations can also learn special skills. Litten and Bellsprout had been featured on Community Day the two months prior.
Officially, Niantic has confirmed that Bounsweet will be the Pokemon featured on May’s Community Day. Pokemon GO players will have a better chance of finding this creature from 2 pm to 5 pm (local time).
Changing Bounsweet’s Steene evolution into Tsareena will also give the creature a new attack called Charged Attack High Jump Kick, which has 110 power and a chance to lower the enemy’s Defense.
Due to Field Research events, catching Bounsweets during an event may also give players Stardust and Great Balls.
Pokemon GO’s May 2024 Community Day
- The event will be happening on May 19, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time.
- Bounsweet will appear more frequently in the wild.
- Evolving Steenee into Tsareena during the event or up to five hours afterward will give the Charged Attack High Jump Kick to the creature.
- Exclusive Community Day Special Research Story.
- 2x Candy for catching any Pokemon.
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
- 2x chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching any Pokemon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
- Bonus raid battles will be happening on May 19, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm local time.
The Bounsweet Community Day Special Research event will cost gamers $1 during the upcoming Community Day.
Aside from that, players will have access to a number of event bonuses, such as getting two Candy every time they catch a Pokemon, a shorter Egg Hatch Distance, trades requiring 50% less Stardust, incense (except for Daily Adventure Incense), and more.
Players can take part in four-star bonus raid battles after the three-hour event is over, and Steenee may show up.
Niantic released a short teaser for Pokemon GO’s May 2024 Community Day the day before it was formalized that Bounsweet would be the featured creature.
A few players were confused by the teaser because they saw the shadow of a Toucannon and the Bounsweet together in the video. Many players were wondering which of the two creatures would be featured in the event.
Fans of Pokemon GO are in for a great month in May. In May, Pokemon GO players can get a Master Ball in addition to the upcoming Community Day.
New information from Niantic suggests that gamers will be able to get the powerful item during the upcoming Catching Wonders event, which runs from May 14–19 and ends around the time that Community Day starts.
