The Demon Slayer took over the anime fandom in a flash. Was that really a surprise?
Before the show was made, it was already causing controversy among manga readers. The Gotouge’s Demon Slayer held a unique plot.
There were a lot of new things that excited fans to experience something other than an ordinary Shounen. It was evident how many people were enjoying the manga after watching the sales.
Everybody was eager to know what was to happen next and be able to learn details about these characters. According to reports from April 2021, sales of manga have been as high as thirty billion dollars.
Fan theories and new concepts were being discussed through forums when the plot became more intense.
A frequently asked concern that people ask is who is the most powerful Hashira in Demon Slayer and who is the weakest?
The manga has come to its final chapter.
Anyone who reads this manga has their own personal opinions regarding what the rank in each Hashira should be.
Each pillar has strengths and weaknesses, as well as backstories and a fan base.
There are many bases used in making this decision. Each Hashira can be considered robust, which is the reason they are even in that position, to begin with.
But, there’s a distinct difference in their strength too.
The ranking I’ll put together is entirely based upon the manga.
Here’s a list of the nine characters in Hashira in order of their strengths.
The following list contains significant spoilers for the Demon Slayer manga: If you don’t want to see the manga spoilers in your favor, I suggest stopping scrolling now!
9. Kochou Shinobu (Insect Pillar)
Shinobu, the Insect Pillar, is not weak. But, she’s not as robust as other pillars in regards to brute strength.
She is a tiny structure when compared to other pillars. It has also been referred to as the only one who can cut through a boulder.
However, for those who underestimate Shinobu, there’s much more to Shinobu than meets the eye. Shinobu may not be capable of cutting through rock, but she is believed to be the only person who can pierce it.
The design of her sword has been built to be able to meet her needs and is able to work with poison.
Shinobu is the most intelligent pillar with exceptional strategic capabilities. Her plans for killing Douma were planned months in advance.
Furthermore, the higher demon Douma recognizes her speed.
He says she is the fastest Hashira he’s seen.
Shinobu’s poison extraction and analysis abilities were extremely powerful.
Her thrusting and pushing capabilities surpass those of any other Hashira listed.
In fact, she is more powerful than the piercing raindrops of breathing water.
8. Iguro Obanai (Snake Pillar)
The techniques for breathing in snakes originate from water-breathing methods and they appear a little like their initial inspiration.
In the first season, Iguro punches Tanjiro, which temporarily puts him in a position where he is unable to breathe.
Iguro, later on in the manga, also battles lower moon Nakime with Mitsuri and beats her.
In this fight, we’re provided with a brief overview of Ishiguro’s combat style.
He doesn’t take on a challenger and engage in reckless fighting.
He would rather remain calm and fight once he has figured out who his opponent is.
Additionally, he tricks his opponent to make him believe it is dead, allowing him to pinpoint the perfect moment to strike.
At the end of the game, Iguro shows impressive abilities throughout the final battle against Muzan.
He shields his allies and is even able to hit Muzan several times.
At the end of the day, he also gets the demon slayer mark.
7. Muichiro Tokito (Mist Pillar)
Muichiro Tokito, also known as the mist pillar, ranks in the 5th position among the most powerful Hashira of Demon Slayers.
He was the smallest Hashira and lacked experience, which is likely to make him less popular even if the strength of his opponent could have increased with time.
But, watching the final battle of Muichirou Tokito is a great way to impress anyone.
Muichirou Tokito unlocks his mark and gets access to the transparent world.
It’s remarkable to realize that he has access to it entirely on his own.
He is a fierce opponent to the moon’s upper 5 and prevails.
In each match, Muichirou shows extravagant power despite his age. Again, Muichirou could have grown extremely robust.
He was an exceptional athlete. However, he was a bit sloppy. He was often distracted and made tactical errors that cost him dearly during his fights.
Being awarded a score at the age of 14 is a testament to their unpolished strength of his.
6. Uzui Tengen (Sound Pillar)
Uzui’s strength is placed 2nd by Goutuge. He is extremely strong in his arm strength, which is what earned him the rank.
Uzui Tengen faced two demons from the upper moon, Daki and Gyutarou.
The fighter also employed weapons and bombs, which made him a skilled combatant. Uzui was an extremely strategic combatant during combat.
Shinobu was an academically smart man. However, Uzui’s strategies made him a skilled soldier in war zones.
He researched his adversaries to the smallest details of their behavior and counter-attacked his adversaries.
In his battle against Daki and Gyutarou, he fought for his life all the while being poisoned.
He also demonstrated a formidable ability to resist poison even if it was for only a few minutes.
Yet, Daki and Gyutarou were significantly weaker than the majority of the demons the other Hashira faced.
Muichirou could have been bigger than him, but his recklessness put him in the lower tier of those who fought the sound pillar.
5. Kanroji Mitsuri (Love Pillar)
Mitsuri’s story gives us an early indication of the fact that she wasn’t one to be taken lightly. Her strength was such that she was able to intimidate anyone.
Her ideal man would be one who is more powerful. Kanroji Mitsuri looks strong at first glance.
The truth is that she’s more powerful than she appears to be according to the manga.
Kanroji Mitsuri has incredible physical strength.
In her fight with Nakime she displays her amazing fighting skills.
She’s extremely flexible and can fight extremely effectively. Furthermore, her reaction times are spot on giving her an advantage over Nakime’s attacks.
In the final battle in the final battle with Muzan In the final battle with Muzan, she tears off his tentacles by using only her own hands.
If that’s not an indication that she is one of the most powerful Hashira within Demon Slayer, then what is?
Based on the events of the manga, it’s right to place the three characters Shinazugawa Sanemi Tomioka Giyuu and Kyujurou Rengoku.
They are therefore almost equally powerful.
If the need for an order really is required this is what I think it should be.
4. Kyojuro Rengoku (Flame Pillar)
Rengoku was the absolute MVP in the Mugen Train arc.
There’s absolutely no evidence to deny how powerful Rengoku is. He initially helped defeat Enmu and then fought in some of his most tragic and epic fights against Akaza.
His fighting skills were over the best during this battle.
The reality that Rengoku cannot get his mark, but can beat Akaza at times is admirable.
The result is that he loses however, there are a few things to consider.
Rengoku suffered an abdominal hole in the course of his fight, and yet the fight is still the moon’s upper part.
Rengoku also earned Akaza’s respect due to his battle.
Rengoku had refined skills and natural talent which made him one of the strongest five Hashira on Demon Slayer.
3. Tomioka Giyuu (Water Pillar)
It’s much easier to assess the ability of Giyuu and Rengoku since they have defeated the same foe, Akaza.
The moon’s upper part was among the top-ranking demons.
Rengoku was exhausted and injured in the fight, so we know that he has never defeated Akaza with his full power.
In Giyuu’s fight against Akaza, He fights with Tanjiro but that does not necessarily mean that he’s any less.
He also defeats Akaza’s blue Silver Chaotic Afterglow in is his last movie.
After his fight with Akaza the saga continues to take on Muzan.
Giyuu is strong not only in his strength but also He’s calm in his battles and has demonstrated a sharp ability to fight.
The water-breathing style of his appearance provides him with a smooth and strong advantage over his adversaries which makes him a strong Hashira from the nine.
2. Shinazugawa Sanemi (Wind Pillar)
Sanemi and Giyuu appear equally powerful, regarding their statistics. Sanemi is a superior player in areas which Giyuu does not and vice opposite.
I’ve found them to be equally powerful however if I could pick just one, I’d consider Sanemi to be stronger, even if it is by a bit. First, Sanemi’s breathing technique, in contrast to Giyuu’s, is abrasive.
In his fight with Kokushibo We get to observe his best skills.
At first, the fighter is not equipped with the ability, but his sight is impressive.
In the end, he’s severely injured and is an important asset in his fight against Muzan.
Also, Sanemi’s battle against Kokushibo was a 1v1 fight in which was a success, and this alone points to an abundance of things to think about Sanemi’s power.
Giyuu Sanemi, Giyuuu, and Rengoku are alike in their statistics, with just the occasional upwards and downwards.
These downs and ups are the only things that allowed me to rank them over.
1. Himejima Gyomei (Rock Pillar)
Gyomei ranks at the top of the list of the most formidable Hashira on the list of Demon Slayers.
Even though he was blind, he showed the most formidable side of himself.
In fact, it’s been repeatedly mentioned throughout the comic that the rock pillar is the strongest.
In addition to his strength and brute force, he’s well-organized and aware of his surroundings.
His power is also recognized by the upper moon, Kokushibo, as well.
