To experience the full simulation of human life, we play EA’s Sims 4.
It’s great to see the bizarre situations that sims find themselves in… or what we force upon them.
The Sims is a stark contrast to human life, despite its cartoonish nature. Sims takes everything seriously, no matter how absurd or funny it is. Sims sees life as easy.
It’s not possible anymore. We can now re-introduce some more nuanced aspects of human life to the game thanks to the tireless efforts of some incredible modders.
This increases the simulation’s complexity, often making it darker, gritty, and more real.
These mods will make Sims feel more real.
26. Better Romance
Better Romance mods the way that Sims interact with one another. It’s relatively easy to form a romantic relationship with two Sims.
If they don’t already have a relationship, they can still interact with each other and choose romantic interactions.
Although it is fine, it doesn’t make the game any more realistic. This mod allows players to make their Sim’s romantic relationships more real.
This mod will allow romantic interactions to be possible only after certain points have been reached in a romantic relationship.
25. The invisible fence
Invisible Fence mods the way Sims interact with the outside world.
You’ve probably spent hours landscaping your Sim’s house, and they’ve ignored the paths you created to get to the grass.
This mod makes Sims’ interactions with sidewalks and paths more real.
This mod allows you to fence off your path and make your Sim walk on it, instead of cutting through the grass randomly. It’s invisible so it won’t be obvious!
24. Faster eating and drinking
This mod doesn’t just make your game look a little more real, but it also makes your game more enjoyable.
Sims can take quite some time to accomplish most things. This mod will speed up at least one aspect of Sims’ lives.
The Sims 4 players will be familiar with the time it takes for their Sims to finish their meals.
You might find them sitting at the table for hours, which is not only unrealistic but also annoying. This mod will speed up the process.
23. True happiness
True Happiness mods the way that your Sim’s moods are affected. Sims are generally in a positive mood, such as happy. You can keep your Sims happy as it is, but that is not realistic.
The True Happiness mod is a realistic and more realistic way to manage Sim’s moods.
This mod alters the way events affect your Sim’s mood. To make your Sims happy, you need to have something truly special happen.
22. Talkative Trait
Some people love to tell stories and talk to others. No trait in The Sims 4 expresses this. Some traits, such as the “Outgoing”, are very similar but not what we’re looking for.
The TalkativeTrait is a CC trait that changes everything. Sims will love to chat and talk about almost anything to anyone who listens.
This mod is for you if your Sim loves to chat about their hobbies and interests.
21. Ultrascan
Sims can have a baby just like they do in real life. Sims can feel their stomach and talk about their due date.
Sims can also tell people the big news once they have taken a pregnancy test. There are two things that you won’t get from Sims’s pregnancies.
Sims can’t go to the doctor for an ultrasound. They also cannot print it and bring it home. This mod allows Sims to go to the doctor to get an ultrasound scan of their baby.
20. Realistic Reactions
Are you a victim of sexual exploitation?
I hope not, but it’s certainly not chilling.
Sims couldn’t get mad at cheating spouses for a while before getting back to normal.
Creator Scaldwellhu agrees. They also created a mod that makes cheating less common than it is in real life.
The event will cause a great deal of grief for couples and it will take a lot to restore order. The parents will be upset, and so will the children!
19. Chances of miscarriage
It’s a beautiful time to be pregnant. Sometimes, complications can occur.
LittleMsSam mod introduces the possibility that a Sim might experience cramps and pain in their abdomen one morning. This could prompt them to visit the hospital.
Sometimes they will bring back a healthy baby, which can relieve the household. But more often they will return with bad news.
It’s sad and dark, but it’s very real.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for pregnancy mod content that’s more lighthearted, take a look at our list. There’s a lot of fun, even though it doesn’t have as much realism.
18. Pregnancy Overhaul Mod
Creator LittleMsSam does not want to limit your reproductive joy.
She strives for realness, which you can see in her Pregnancy Overhaul Mode.
It replaces the ridiculously large pregnant belly found in vanilla with something more anatomically appropriate.
Additionally, it eliminates the exaggerated pregnant walking animation.
It allows expecting sims to continue swimming and yoga up until the beginning of their third trimester. (which I had to Google to confirm).
17. Risky Woohoo & Try For Baby Chances
You can choose to actively decide whether you want a sim for safe Woohoo or with a partner.
However, this is not how it works in real life.
Modder PolarBearSims devised some modifications to enhance the Woohoo experience.
They replaced Risky Woohoo with Risky Woohoo and implemented a complex fertility system that affects all sims.
Some sims may have greater chances of getting pregnant inadvertently depending on their fertility levels, where they were encountered, and other factors.
Sims can also become infertile and need to undergo fertility treatments to become pregnant. I don’t know if that’s true.
16. More best friends
When someone asks me who my best friend is, I have never been able to answer.
I wouldn’t be able to pick one. They are all important parts of my life.
LittleMsSam is the creator of this sim.
The “become a best friend” interaction now has a 30-minute cooling down, rather than being a one-time-only use. This allows you to create sim besties and inseparable teams.
15. SNB – Sim National Bank
The Sims 4’s money and bills system are quite basic for a game that simulates human life.
Sim National Bank by SimRealist, an in-depth mod, aims to reform the financial system in Texas 4. It allows sims to manage their bank accounts, take out loans, and pay their bills separately.
This mod is, quite honestly, one of my favourite mods.
Accounting is a fun activity for the most dedicated players, but it’s not something that everyone will enjoy.
This mod is extremely realistic, let’s not forget that.
14. Your Personality is Important!
Sims are known for being simpler than humans. Sims take life one day at a time and choose to do what feels right now, over what will make sense long-term.
Personality please! PolarBearSims is mostly a romance-centric rework. It makes Sims less promiscuous by making their past events, traits, and aspirations significantly impact their relationships with other sims.
If you want them to get down to business, they will need to be compatible.
The mod gives cats and dogs more personality options, and sims can also learn traits and choose careers from deep conversations with other sims. It’s so cool!
13. Automated Beards
Since I was 14 years old my ever-growing beard has been an integral part of my daily life.
Each morning, I decide whether or not I want to shave. This has significant implications for my daily life. This should also apply to digital friends.
This mod allows sims to grow their beards automatically, but they still need to be shaved. This mod is not recommended if you don’t want your sim becoming Gandalf The Grey.
12. SimDa Dating App
Sims 4 makes it so much easier to find partners and date than in real life. We needed dating apps.
The SimDa Dating app by LittleMsSam functions a lot like Tinder. It allows sims to set up blind dates, schedule meetings, or just call someone over for a night.
Each interaction has its unique features and potential.
It’s possible to have fun, start relationships and even get pregnant accidentally. It’s just like real life.
11. The Explore Mod
There are many places and activities that you can enjoy in The Sims 4. However, there is always room to improve.
More autonomy is always a good thing.
KawaiiStacie’s Explore Mod allows your Sims to explore the world alone or with friends.
They will have adventures, learn skills, meet new people and possibly even change the world.
This mod adds many entertainment activities such as gambling, getting your nails done and temporary work to earn extra money.
You can even go out for takeout if it’s too hard to cook. These activities are very real and immersive.
10. Height Slider
The sims are all the same height, which is one of the most annoying and absurd things about the game.
This mod by Luumia allows you to adjust the height of your sims using CAS.
All other things will scale proportionally to height.
Luumia also included a hip slider and neck length variations for more Sim variety.
9. Extreme Violence
The world is violent, even in suburban areas.
Extreme Violence by Sacrifice Mods allows for sims to target others in a variety of ways.
You can shoot them with machine guns, crack their necks, chop them up with a machete and even crush their skulls sitting on them.
It’s possible, but realistically?
It adds the acts, as well as a lot of additional functionality. Sims can acquire the Serial Killer trait or pay a gang to take advantage of someone they don’t like. Yikes!
8. Meaningful Stories
Sims aren’t too serious about life and they can be incredibly impulsive.
While they may be devastated by the loss of their pet, they might also feel happy because they saw a great movie the next day.
Roburky’s mod modifies the mood and emotion system to make them more realistic and nuanced.
To get out of a rut, a depressed sim will need to have help from friends. A first kiss can make them feel happy and content.
Transitions between emotions take time. There are also transitional periods where they feel a little of everything.
7. Passionate Romance
Vanilla TS4’s romance system is very basic.
It’s possible to flirt, go on dates, Woohoo, and get married but it doesn’t feel like a real relationship.
Passionate Romance by Sacrificial Mods has improved this greatly.
It includes new interactions such as snuggling, hugging, taking a romantic photo, and even grabbing each other’s butts, just like they did in TS2.
6. After School Activities
It has never been about science or history.
It’s about making friends, learning skills, and discovering yourself.
This add-on from KawaiiStacie, an amazing creator, allows you to add all of these items.
It aims to enrich educational experiences by adding more than 30 after-school programs that are available for children and teens.
You can think of the Anime Club and the Yoga Club as examples.
Sims who take part in these activities can learn skills, make friends and gain motivation. They may also be eligible for scholarships based on their academic performance.
5. Wicked Whims
Sex is something that humans can never get enough of. It’s something we love, and Sims should too if they want to experience it in-game.
Wicked Whims is a great way to make TS4 sexy. It makes the Woohoo interaction look amazing and gives female Sims a functional menstrual cycle with mood swings and cramps.
This one is deep.
Contagious STDs can even be introduced by this method! If that’s not realistic, I don’t know what else is.
4. Basement Drugs
Since time immemorial, alcohol and other drugs have been part of our daily lives. This is not likely to change.
Basement Drugs aims to bring this realization of human life into TS4. It allows sim friends to purchase, consume, or sell alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis as well as many other mind-altering substances.
Sims who engage in these activities could become addicted, have issues with the law, be arrested, or even go to rehab.
It isn’t pretty, but it is real.
3. Basemental Gangs
Basemental Drugs is a favourite of yours. The Basemental Gangs expansion will be a great addition to your collection.
This mod fleshes out the whole drug-dealing aspect of the mod. It allows you to build a criminal empire or become the leader of one of four gangs.
Dark, but very real.
You will have many underlings and make a lot of money. There is even a skill set to help you become a better thug. Although it may not seem wholesome, it is very real.
This mod will give you more GTA in Sims.
2. The Tragedies of Life
You may now realize that not all glitters and candy is created equal.
Everyone experiences difficult and tragic moments in their lives. They can come when you least expect them.
The Sacrificial Mods add life’s tragedies to your Sim and NPCs. You might get run over by a car randomly, jumped by a homicidal lunac, or even contracted a life-threatening illness that will require surgery.
You might find it a little intense but it’s not. You can control how often these tragedies occur.
This allows you to either make your Sim’s story a horror story or add a little bit of darkness into your game.
This can be hilarious, shocking, or something in between, depending on what you are looking for.
You will notice that the download page contains many other mods by this creator. Look towards the lower portion of the screen to find their “Life’s Tragedies” Download file.
You can download the latest version from the link above. It is updated occasionally.
1. A Slice of Life
Slice of Life by KawaiiStacie is the best and most complete overhaul of The Sims 4’s realism.
It is a large mod that covers almost all aspects of life within the game.
Sims can see emotions and recollect past events. This will affect their moods. They also have complex fitness systems and reactions to their appearance. There are many other things too!
The mod’s most striking feature is the ability to give each sim a personality based upon the Myers-Briggs 16 personalities test. This greatly influences how they interact with sims.
This mod also includes many features that we have seen in other mods, such as functional alcohol, serious illness, and complex menstrual cycles.
All of these features are included in one polished CC pack, which affects every sim in the world, even NPCs.
This mod is the best for The Sims 4.
This is the best realism mod you can find. It will surprise you with how many features it has.
