Metal Slug Tactics, the newest strategy RPG game in the series, will be released in the autumn of 2024, according to the developer Leikir Studio.
Fans of the Metal Slug series can get this new game on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam.
Metal Slug is a series of run-and-gun video games known for their fast-paced action, vibrant pixel art, and difficult game play.
The series, which was made by SNK, came out in 1996 and quickly gained a large group of dedicated fans.
Players control a variety of characters, most of whom are soldiers, and fight their way through hordes of enemies, tanks, and huge bosses in a wide range of beautifully detailed environments.

Heavy Slug Tactics was first announced in 2021, and now we finally know when it will come out.

Metal Slug Tactics Release Window

The Steam page for the game says that Metal Slug Tactics will combine arcade action with roguelike tactical thrills, making it different from other Metal Slug shmups.
Players will go into dangerous battle zones where they will fight strategically and use powerful special attacks.
As players lead their squad to victory, they will gain experience that will allow them to unlock new weapons and perks, increasing the firepower and tactical prowess of their team.
Figure out the best weapon loadouts and mods, launch multiple attacks at once using the “SYNC” mechanic, and call in reinforcements like heavy artillery and airstrikes are all strategic parts of the game.
In addition, the campaign will take players through hand-made maps that will give them a lot of challenges and chances to learn and change their strategies.
The first date that Leikir Studio set for the game’s release was 2022 for Nintendo Switch and PC. Dotemu later said that Metal Slug Tactics would be delayed, and the release date was pushed back to 2023 and then to 2024.
Soon to be released, Metal Slug Tactics will add a new and interesting chapter to the Metal Slug series. It will be a different take on the popular run-and-gun genre.
