My Hero Academia Season 7’s New Opening Song

The stage event at AnimeJapan 2024 on Sunday showcased the highly anticipated second full promotional video for the seventh season of the My Hero Academia anime.

The video showcases the opening theme song “Tagatame” by artist TK from Ling Tosite Sigure, giving viewers a sneak peek.

The anime’s seventh season was announced following the conclusion of the sixth season on March 25, 2023.

A compilation special of My Hero Academia Memories, consisting of four episodes, will begin airing on April 6. The special will feature some new scenes for fans to enjoy.

The new season, which will begin with episode 139 of the overall anime, is set to premiere on May 4.

The anime will once again be broadcast on YTV and NTV on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. (4:30 a.m. EDT).

My Hero Academia is set to release its fourth film, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, on August 2.

Horikoshi fulfills the role of general supervisor and original character designer.

The film presents a unique narrative set in a time parallel to the current events of the TV anime, exploring the disintegration of a once secure society.

Horikoshi debuted the manga series in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 2014.

The 40th compiled book volume of the manga will be available for purchase in Japan on April 4th.

Viz Media is known for their English publications of manga, both in digital and print formats, specifically in North America.

Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service also offers digital publications of the manga in English.

The anime’s initial 13-episode season debuted in April 2016.

The second season, consisting of 25 episodes, made its debut in April 2017. Following that, the third season aired in April 2018 and also consisted of 25 episodes.

The fourth season debuted in Japan in October 2019 and consisted of 25 episodes.

The franchise released a two-episode original video anime in Japan in August 2020, which was later streamed by Funimation and Crunchyroll.

The show’s fifth season debuted in Japan in March 2021 and consisted of 25 episodes.

In June 2022, Japan had the pleasure of screening a new two-episode original video anime. Episodes are being streamed on Crunchyroll.

The anime’s sixth season debuted in October 2022. The season aired for two consecutive cours, spanning a total of 25 episodes.

Crunchyroll has been streaming the anime as it aired in Japan, and they are also providing an English dub for viewers.

The anime is currently being aired on Toonami. The special anime episode of My Hero Academia UA Heroes Battle premiered in October.
