A brand new trailer for Hunter X Hunter: Nen X Impact has been released by Bushiroad Game and Eighting, confirming two more playable characters for the roster: Machi Komacine and Uvogin.
With a reveal trailer for Nen X Impact released at the beginning of 2024, this licenced fighting game was first announced last December.
The reveal trailer provided a brief overview of the game, confirming six playable characters right away and a sleek anime aesthetic.
Except for confirming that Hunter X Hunter: Nen X Impact was a 3v3 tag-team fighting game, the reveal trailer didn’t say much else about how it was played.
Fans weren’t sure if it would be a 3D arena fighter or a 2D fighting game, so this left them a little perplexed.
From what many people have said, Nen X Impact is probably the second one, based on Eighting’s other games like DNF Duel and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Eighting and Bushiroad have revealed more information about the game, including some of its roster and game play, with EVO Japan 2024 now in progress.
The new trailer confirms that Hunter X Hunter: Nen X Impact is a 2D 3v3 team fighter, like Dragon Ball FighterZ and the Marvel vs. Capcom gaming series.
To stop an opponent’s attack or make their combos last longer, players can ask their teammates to help them in battle.
The leading members of each team are briefly introduced before the game in the trailer, with Kurapika and Uvogin interacting.
Both Uvogin and Machi Komacine were confirmed for Hunter X Hunter: Nen X Impact’s launch roster in the trailer, though only for a short time. Uvogin was used as a sandbag for Kurapika and his team to show off their moves.
One of the Phantom Troupe members, Uvogin is a significant antagonist in Hunter X Hunter. Kurapika wants to exact revenge on this group.
One of the most stern and cold-hearted members of the group is Machi Komacine, who is also a member of the same troupe.

This weekend, players at the EVO Japan 2024 fighting game tournament can also play the game on their own time.
