Who doesn’t enjoy a good Anime love triangles? As the name implies, it centers around three people who love each other in varying degrees.

It’s often times used to introduce drama, especially if two of the characters are childhood friends.

Depending on how tragic (or emotional) the series gets, a fourth person can be introduced to the anime love triangles as a way to give all members a happy ending.

Nagi no Asukara is home to some really relationship-based between the cast of friends. The most compelling of the triangles involves Hikari, Manaka, and Chisaki.

The three have been friends since childhood, with Hikari harboring feelings for Manaka. Manaka is semi-aware of this, but isn’t sure if she wants to be with Hikari or Tsumugu.

Chisaki tries to support Manaka as a friend, but she can’t help feel her love for Hikari is getting in the way.
