Strawberry Prince Music Group Gets Anime Film

The members of the boy band Strawberry Prince are the driving force behind Gekijōban SutoPuri Hajimari no Monogatari ~Strawberry School Festival!!!! (STPR Origin Story the Movie: Strawberry School Festival!!!!), their highly anticipated first anime film set to premiere this summer. Here’s a sneak peek:

The group leader’s entertainment persona Nanamori is credited as the chief production supervisor and planning producer of the anime, while his off-stage persona, Masato Kashiwabara, is credited with the original story.

Strawberry Prince is being directed by Naoki Matsuura, known for his work on Liar Liar, and the script was written by Chika Suzumura, who previously worked on Burn The Witch. Yumi Nakamura, known for her work on Liar Liar and Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, is in charge of character design.

Takahiro Yoneda serves as the art director, while STPR Records is responsible for producing the music. Bushiroad Move is handling distribution, while STPR Studio is overseeing the production process.

Strawberry Prince group was established in 2016 and quickly gained a following through its videos on various streaming platforms.

They have gone on to inspire a smartphone game, and they have been regularly touring across five arenas nationwide. In addition, they recently made their debut on Kōhaku Uta Gassen (“Red and White Song Contest”), Japan’s most-watched music television program, in December.

Strawberry Prince has graciously lent their talents to create theme songs for Yo-kai Gakuen Y: N to no Sōgū (Yo-Kai Academy Y: An Encounter With N) and Cardfight!! The Vanguard OverDress anime.

Members of the group also lend their voices to Yo-kai Gakuen.
