Next Week May Bring A Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo

In addition to what was announced at yesterday’s State of Play event, PlayStation also said that next week there will be a show just for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

When the game comes out on February 29, PlayStation and Square Enix will use it as a last chance to show off their excellent work and get people who aren’t sure to give it a try.

Of course, the best way to accomplish that is to release a demo, and it looks like both PlayStation and Square Enix thought of it.

A demo for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is coming soon, according to trustworthy dataminer PlayStationSize on Twitter, who frequently leaks the file sizes of some of the biggest blockbusters like way before they’re official. This demo will give players a Kupo Charm item that will probably carry over to the full game.

As PlayStationSize has been reliably revealing file sizes for years, it’s clear that they have access to the PlayStation store’s back end.

Probably, if they said that a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo was coming, it was just added to the PlayStation Store and the company is waiting for the announcement at the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth State of Play event to make it available.

As for what this demo might include, it looks like it will be the part of the game where Cloud and Sephiroth fight as they make their way through Mt. Nibel.

This is because it seems like it would be a fun part to show off and has already been played by the media for preview purposes. Although that’s just a guess, what’s shown on next week’s State of Play could be the demo itself. Let us see what happens.

For now, we’ll have to settle for Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, telling us strange things about Chocobos, like what they smell like and how Red XIII can hold on to the reins while flying around on his Chaco. Warning: it’s really close.
