At AnimeJapan 2024, the stage event on Saturday showcased some exciting updates for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II, the highly anticipated second season of the anime.
Fans were treated to a captivating new trailer that gave a sneak peek of the ending theme song, “Mamoritaimono” (What I Want to Protect), performed by the talented artist Yuiko Ōhara.
Ōhara also had the pleasure of performing the theme song live at the stage event.
Just wanted to share some exciting news! Saya Aizawa and Yūki Takada have been announced as the new additions to the cast. They will be playing the roles of the older Norn Greyrat and older Aisha Greyrat. How awesome is that?
The new season is set to make its comeback on April 7 at 24:00, which is effectively midnight on April 8 or 11:00 a.m. EDT on April 7. You can catch it on the Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and BS11 channels.
Where will Mushoku Tensei broadcasted?
Mushoku Tensei will be broadcasted on the Sun TV channel.
Season 2 of Mushoku Tensei will be broadcasted for two cours, which is equivalent to two quarters of a year.
The first half of the show debuted on Tokyo MX on July 2, 2023, and will soon be available on other networks. The second half is scheduled to air from April to June, 2024.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming the season as it airs.
There will be a grand total of 25 episodes in the season.
Hiroki Hirano, the assistant director of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, has taken over as the director at Studio Bind for the first cours. Meanwhile, Ryōsuke Shibuya will be directing the second cours.
Toshiya Ono, known for his work on Gatchaman Crowds, Land of the Lustrous, and The Promised Neverland, took over as the series script supervisor for the second season, replacing Okamoto.
Sanae Shimada and Yoshiko Saitō have been chosen as the new character designers for Mushoku Tensei. They bring their unique talents and expertise to the project.
Masakazu Miyake is back as the only art director listed, while Makiko Doi also makes a return as the sole color key artist listed.
The staff members who will be returning for this project are compositing director of photography Shinji Tonsho, editor Akinori Mishima, sound director Jin Aketagawa, sound effects artist Tsutomu Ueno, and musical composer Yoshiaki Fujisawa.
EGG FIRM is in the process of production. The rock band Hitorie delivers an energetic performance of the opening theme song “On the Frontline.”
