Artists of Mushoku Tensei Revealed

The official X (formerly Twitter) account revealed the new opening and closing theme song performers for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II, the second season of the anime, on Wednesday.

The opening theme song “On the Frontline,” was performed by rock band Hitorie, and the closing theme song “Mamoritaimono” (What I Want to Protect), was performed by female musician Yuiko Ōhara.

Saya Aizawa and Yūki Takada, who will play the older Norn Greyrat and older Aisha Greyrat, respectively, were previously revealed to be joining the cast.

The season will return to Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and BS11 channels on April 7 at 24:00 (that is, April 8 at midnight or April 7 at 11:00 a.m. EDT). On the Sun TV channel, it will air.

There will be two seasons (two quarters of a year) of television. Before airing on other networks, the first half debuted on Tokyo MX on July 2, 2023. The second half will run from April to June of 2024. As the season airs, it can be streamed on Crunchyroll. There will be twenty-five episodes in the season.

Hiroki Hirano, the assistant director of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, took Manabu Okamoto’s place as the first course director at Studio Bind, and Rysuke Shibuya was named director for the second course.

For the second season of Mushoku Tensei, Toshiya Ono (86, Gatchaman Crowds, Land of the Lustrous, The Promised Neverland) took over as the series script supervisor in place of Okamoto. The new character designers are Yoshiko Saitō (chief animation director for season 1) and Sanae Shimada (Photo Kano, UTOPA).

Makiko Doi is back as the only color key artist listed, while Masakazu Miyake is back as the only art director listed. In addition, sound director Jin Aketagawa, editor Akinori Mishima, composer Yoshiaki Fujisawa, composing director of photography Shinji Tonsho, and sound effects artist Tsutomu Ueno are among the returning personnel. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed both Rifujin na Magonote’s original main light novel series and Yuka Fujikawa’s manga adaptation. The company also acquired the license for Shōko Iwami’s Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Gets Serious (Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Datte Honki desu) spinoff manga.

Rifujin na Magonote first published the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) website from 2012 to 2015. In 2014, Kadokawa’s MF Books imprint started publishing a print version. The 26th volume was shipped in November 2022.

The initial segment of the novel’s first anime adaptation debuted in January 2021, with the second part in October 2021, following a delay from the original July date. Funimation broadcasted the season. Crunchyroll and Hulu are currently streaming the anime, along with the unaired side-story original video anime (OVA) episode “Eris the Goblin Slayer.”
