After seeing a national championship game on TV, high school student Shy Hinata falls in love with volleyball.

Even though he is short, he decides to play like a famous player called the “Little Giant” after watching him play.

But his hopes are crushed in his first official game when his team loses badly to the favorite team in the junior championship, which has a player called the “King of the Court.”

Hinata agrees to follow in the footsteps of the “Little Giant” and go to Karasuno High School to beat Kageyama. However, the two end up working together instead of against each other.

The two of them come up with a new volleyball strategy by combining Kageyama’s coolness with Hinata’s athleticism.

Their new teamwork lets them put aside their differences and form a strange alliance that makes them and their teammates laugh and have a good time.

The Karasuno men’s volleyball team is now on its way to the top.
