A new Fortnite leak has revealed that the game will soon host another Star Wars event. A reputable Fortnite wit has confirmed that the event will include at least one new cosmetic, though more information on the latest crossover with the legendary sci-fi media juggernaut is still scarce.
With the addition of various game play experiences like the crafting-survival mode of LEGO Fortnite and high-speed racing in Rocket Racing, Epic Games’ well-liked free-to-play title has grown beyond the Battle Royale mode that made it famous in recent months.
With the recent v29.10 update bringing back the Hand Cannon, also known as the Deagle, Battle Royale is still Fortnite’s main sport.
A reputable Fortnite leaker named ShiinaBR, who has taken to Twitter to share what they know about the event, has revealed news of an alleged Star Wars leak.
Although the leaker doesn’t say anything specific about it, a new Mandalorian vehicle skin will be included in Fortnite’s next Star Wars event.
The skin, on the other hand, will be playable in both Fortnite and Rocket League. It should be available on May 4, which is Star Wars Day. Like the Star Wars vehicle skins for Rocket League from last year, fans can look forward to something great.
In Fortnite’s wit, Star Wars is becoming more and more prevalent. The featured skin for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 was Ahsoka Tano. Later, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Luke Skywalker were added back to the shop.
Star Wars fans have also been creating content from the series on their own, with one very active LEGO Fortnite player building an impressive Death Star as well as a Star Destroyer.
Star Wars Day and Fortnite
It’s likely that various Star Wars weapons, like blasters and lightsabers, will make a comeback to Fortnite given the history of Star Wars Day in recent years.
On May 4, however, there will likely be some sort of announcement or reveal for other Star Wars games, with at least a half-dozen games based on the IP currently under development.
