A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 player with sharp eyes has found a cool link between the new version of Das Haus and the old map Highrise.
After first appearing in Vanguard in 2021, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 recently added Das Haus to the game.
Many of the Call of Duty games have fun references to their history in the form of Easter eggs and other hidden items that players can find.
Most of the time, these are direct references to older games, like the OG MW2 campaign reference found in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
It’s never quite clear when all the Easter eggs have been found on a map, so this gives players a great new way to interact with the maps other than just killing other players.
User DD4114 on Reddit recently made this discovery, pointing out that players can see Highrise in the distance by looking out of the map to the northeast of Das Haus.
The fact that both of these Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 maps are set on top of tall buildings makes the reference very clear.
Others in the thread said that these kinds of Easter eggs make the world of the game feel more connected.
One player said that Terminal and Departures are two games that would be good for this kind of reference. Some people even said that being able to watch gunfights on Highrise would be cool on top of really being able to see it.
Highrise Reference in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Das Haus Map
Back in 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, Highrise made its first appearance in the Call of Duty series. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been in the main games since then; only Call of Duty Online and Mobile have it. It’s unclear why it took 14 years to make a comeback, but players are glad it did.
Many great maps have been recreated from earlier games. It only took a little over two years for Das Haus to make a comeback.
It was most recently added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded, but its first appearance was in Vanguard in 2021.
Although it had a rough start, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 now looks like it’s back on track. With the recent release of Season 2, Reloaded came a lot of new content, like many new maps and weapons.
Call of Duty 2024 rumors are still circulating, despite Sledgehammer Games’ ongoing improvements to its most recent release.
Beyond being made by Treyarch, nothing else about the next game in the series has been confirmed exactly. Over the next few months, hopefully, more solid information will be confirmed to stop the rumors.
