With such skill in creating this sense of perfection and pureness, Johan hides his true motives with ease.
19. Akame From Akame ga Kill!
Akame appears to be a very serious and cold-hearted anime assassin which stems from her hellish training that the Empire forced her and her sister through, but it is eventually revealed that she is just socially awkward.
She cares about her comrades very much and she is always worried that one of them may not make it out alive due to her first-hand experience that war always has a high mortality rate.
She also tends to hide her emotions when it is revealed that a comrade dies, such as seen with Sheele, making Tatsumi mistakenly and incorrectly assume that she deals with it easily, because she is used to it.
18. Suzuya Juuzou From Tokyo Ghoul
As a child, Suzuya’s personality was somewhat normal, albeit a tad twisted, but as a result of Big Madam’s treatment. He no longer felt fear, pain, nor did he have any morals. Yukinori Shinohara, his mentor, described him as a “problem child”.
Despite his childish and playful demeanor, he was also extremely violent and highly disturbed. He usually described his killing methods to be clean, without needless movements, which is a skill he seemed to take pride in as an anime assassin.
He shows no hesitation to kill someone. He even goes as far as to consider it a part of daily life, and lacks awareness of death’s weight.
17. Death Gun From Sword Art Online: Phantom Bullet
Death Gun made his first appearance in the first episode of Sword Art Online II, in a VRMMORPG known as Gun Gale Online.

Later, it is revealed that XeXeeD’s user was found dead of heart failure a few days after his avatar was shot. There is also evidence of a similar case involving the death of another GGO user.
16. Minene Uryuu From Future Diary
Minene considers herself a survivor first and foremost, a belief reflected by her Escape Diary.
Before it became her Future Diary, Minene’s Escape Diary was a regular diary that she used to write down all the possible escape routes in whichever area she was planning to attack.

With the last of his strength, his brother had attached his own arm, by means of alchemy, to Scar.
Even if Scar wanted to finally break the Ishvalan teaching and perform transmutation alchemy, he cannot because his right arm is only designed for destroying.
12. Satō From Ajin
Sato is shown to be a calm and cheerful anime assassin on the outside as he’s able to make people feel calm in his presence.
However, beneath this facade is a sinister persona of his – he is merciless when it comes to killing others and he often finds it fun to cause destruction and kill people (whether they’re innocent or not).
He was like this even as a kid when he killed many animals. And when his father beat him as punishment for it, he displayed no sense of guilt and expressed puzzlement on the concept of love and other emotions.
This shows that Sato was already sociopath before he killed people.

He is able to act like a normal person, even bringing pride to his father, but he intrinsically does not feel the same happiness others do.
He is very similar to Shirou in that he is a void human being without a clear sense of self, and can be called the opposite extreme of Shirou.
9. Himura Kenshin From Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal

He carries himself with an air of amicable temperance, politely conversing with the people he encounters and freely giving his meager services to those who need a hand.
8. Levi Ackerman From Attack on Titan
Levi is described as a “clean freak” by those who know him personally as he prefers his environment and himself to be spotlessly clean anime assassin.

Shiki was confirmed to display the trait instead and was raised as the family head in his place, displaying the personalities of SHIKI, a male personality customarily called the “yang” personality, and Shiki, the female personality called the “yin” personality.
It is not the result of Dissociative Identity Disorder even though it is a dual personality, so it is more a matter of whose actions take priority.

As he is essentially immortal and invulnerable, Alucard is very egotistical.
He freely taunts and belittles his opponents, often allowing them to inflict seemingly fatal wounds before healing himself and counterattacking.

1. Korosensei From Assassination Classroom
It was revealed that he was raised in an environment “where everybody could easily betray one another to the point that one could only trust oneself”.
Through these hardships, he decided to become an assassin in order to survive. Despite gaining an apprentice, he only saw him as a tool for his goals, which drove the latter to finally betray his master.
However, after meeting Aguri Yukimura, he finally knew what compassion really was–becoming much more kind and compassionate.
