Why Did Kakashi Kill Rin in Naruto?

The intriguing narrative holes and backstories in Naruto have helped to keep the show engaging. One of these was undoubtedly the death of Rin Nohara.

One of the craziest scenes in Naruto was when Rin saw Kakashi Hatake pierce her heart. The reality, however, was entirely different from what Episode 345 had to offer.

Do you have any idea why Kakashi killed Rin?

We are here to dispel any confusion about this situation.

Team Minato included Obito Uchiha as well as Kakashi Hatake and Rin Nohara. Even though their gang was powerful, a specific event resulted in Obito’s apparent demise.

But because of Zetsu’s abilities, Madara Uchiha managed to save him. Obito eventually recovered from his injuries and returned to his former companions.

When he arrived, he found his friend Kakashi killing Rin, who Obito adored, leaving him in a state of confusion.

The Real Cause of Rin’s Death by Kakashi

Let’s be clear about this first.

Since Rin committed suicide to defend her village, Kakashi Hatake did not kill her.

This undoubtedly prompts more inquiries into how she passed away. Here is what the show ultimately said about Rin Nohara’s passing.

The three-tailed beast Isobu was implanted within Rin Nohara by The Kirigakure (Hidden Mist Village) ANBU during the Third Great Ninja War.

When Rin arrived at Konohagakure, the plan called for unleashing the beast (Hidden Leaf Village). The strategy was however apparent to Rin, who wished to defend the hamlet she cherished.

However, Kirigakure ANBU’s plot could only be foiled by either killing herself or removing the tailed beast.

The only option left was to commit herself because she lacked both the time and the knowledge necessary to free the beast.

She attempted suicide but was unsuccessful, so she turned to Kakashi for help.

He might have given it more thought if it had been Kakashi, who just followed the rules. However, Obito’s passing had altered Kakashi, and he flatly refused Rin’s request.

During the fight with the Kirigakure ANBU, Kakashi used his ultimate move, Chidori, which involves concentrating the chakra at the tip of one’s hand to make huge lightning with enough force to pierce anything.

Rin hid in the mist where Kakashi was engaged in combat with the Kirigakure ANBU since she was unable to kill herself. The Chidori of Kakashi was about to commit suicide until Rin intervened.

On one side, Rin was relieved that she had managed to save Kakashi and her community. Kakashi, on the other side, was quite depressed and sorrowful after committing suicide.
