Taku Kawamura’s False Child Manga Concludes on March 22

The March edition of Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine announced on Thursday that Taku Kawamura’s False Child (Uso no Kodomo) manga will conclude in the next issue on March 22.

Square Enix’s Manga UP! Global, Kadokawa’s BookWalker Global Store, and Comikey release the manga digitally in English.

Imagine a scenario where a child who had passed away suddenly reappeared, looking exactly as she did before. Imagine if it were actually the work of a shapeshifting tanuki.

This is not a reunion.

Delve into a touching story of grief and yearning by the writer of “My Clueless First Friend.”.

Kawamura introduced the manga in Gangan Joker magazine in November 2022.

The third compiled book volume of the manga was published by Square Enix on November 21.

Kawamura concluded the Kakegurui (Kakkokari) (Kakegurui [Temp]) manga in September 2022.

This manga serves as a comedic spinoff of the Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler manga series, created by writer Homura Kawamoto and artist Tōru Naomura.

The manga was first published in Gangan Joker in December 2016.

The 10th and final compiled book volume of the manga was published by Square Enix in July 2023.

Kawamura also penned the My Clueless First Friend (Jijō o Shiranai Tenkōsei ga Guigui Kuru.) manga, which began serialization in Gangan Joker magazine in June 2018.

Square Enix released the manga’s initial compiled book volume in Japan in October 2018, with the 17th volume set to be published on March 22.

Square Enix Manga & Books is set to release the fifth volume of the manga in English on March 5.

The manga was adapted into an anime that premiered in April 2023.
