Conclusion

The only watch recommendation is the chronological one.

This special episode, Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu Joshou, is a recap of Season 1. You are free to skim it with no regrets since it does not affect the main plot.

The series of four episodes, Signs of Holy War, is essential to understanding the show, but it is not something I’d recommend that you avoid.

It’s not Season 2, somewhat of a brief sequel to Season 1. It only extends the storyline from Season 1.

At the very least, it is a good idea to consider that the Signs of Holy War can be described as a bridging season, and the anime has a lot of such episodes within the same franchise.

OVAs are also very important. The OVAs are also extremely important as several crucial plot points are portrayed in them.

A crucial question could come to light regarding a new season of an anime that has an ardent fanbase. However, it’s evident that this show is over and there will not be any more manga chapters or episodes that deal with the major storyline.

However, there is an opportunity.

A manga spinoff, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, has been serialized since the beginning of January 2021. A new season is therefore likely to be on the horizon as the sequel.
