The television anime adaptation of Pom’s Senpai wa Otokonoko (This is Him or literally, Senpai is a Boy) web manga has released its first promotional video, showcasing what viewers can expect from the show.
Senpai wa Otokonoko is set to debut in July and will be broadcasted on Thursdays at 24:55 (which is effectively Fridays at 12:55 a.m.) in the Noitamina programming block on Fuji TV and other channels.
Crunchyroll has announced that they will be streaming the anime.
Here are the main cast members of Senpai wa Otokonoko:
- Shūichirō Umeda portrays the character Makoto Hanaoka.
- Akira Sekine plays the role of Saki Aoi, while Yūma Uchida portrays Ryūji Taiga.
- Shinsuke Yanagi is directing the anime at project No.9, while Shōto Shinkai is in charge of character design and has also created the key visual on the right. Yoriko Tomita is responsible for the series scripts.
- Yukari Hashimoto is the composer for March comes in like a lion, Mr. Osomatsu, and Sarazanmai.

Pom introduced the manga on the LINE Manga app in 2019. The seventh volume of the manga was published by Ichijinsha on November 24.
The Senpai wa Otokonoko manga ranked first in AnimeJapan’s “Manga We Want to See Animated” poll in 2022.
