Senpai wa Otokonoko Releases Promo Video

The television anime adaptation of Pom’s Senpai wa Otokonoko (This is Him or literally, Senpai is a Boy) web manga has released its first promotional video, showcasing what viewers can expect from the show.

Senpai wa Otokonoko is set to debut in July and will be broadcasted on Thursdays at 24:55 (which is effectively Fridays at 12:55 a.m.) in the Noitamina programming block on Fuji TV and other channels.

Crunchyroll has announced that they will be streaming the anime.

  • Shūichirō Umeda portrays the character Makoto Hanaoka.
  • Akira Sekine plays the role of Saki Aoi, while Yūma Uchida portrays Ryūji Taiga.
  • Shinsuke Yanagi is directing the anime at project No.9, while Shōto Shinkai is in charge of character design and has also created the key visual on the right. Yoriko Tomita is responsible for the series scripts.
  • Yukari Hashimoto is the composer for March comes in like a lion, Mr. Osomatsu, and Sarazanmai.

Line Webtoon is the go-to platform for English digital manga publications. The manga is described as:

Is it possible for love to conquer all challenges? Saki, a high school student, bravely expresses her emotions to Makoto.

Makoto is surprised as he confesses his secret, but Saki doesn’t seem to mind at all. She is clearly smitten with him.

Following her rejection, Saki seeks guidance from Ryuji, a close friend of Makoto, on how to capture his affection.

Ryuji finds himself caught in a love triangle as he discovers that he may have developed feelings for his long-time friend.

Pom introduced the manga on the LINE Manga app in 2019. The seventh volume of the manga was published by Ichijinsha on November 24.

The Senpai wa Otokonoko manga ranked first in AnimeJapan’s “Manga We Want to See Animated” poll in 2022.
