is the boondocks an anime?

Is the Boondocks considered anime? And not just the Boondocks but any other American written/directed series’s that were animated by Japanese studios?

It all depends on your definition of what anime is.
If you say that it must be produced in Japan, than they aren’t anime. However, if you say that they just need to be produced by Japanese studios, than they are most certainly anime.
Up to how you define anime.
It’s natural for a person to deny he’s a failure as a human being. That’s why he searches for somebody who is more miserable than himself. That’s why so much animosity exists on the internet.
