Netflix has announced that the South Korean live-action adaptation of Hitoshi Iwaaki’s Parasyte (Kiseiju) manga, titled Parasyte: The Grey (Kiseiju: The Grey), will be available for streaming in India starting April 5.

The series’ trailer is available for streaming in both Korean with English subtitles and with an English dub.

The Parasyte series is set to premiere globally on Netflix on April 5th.

The series will continue to air fresh episodes until June.

Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Lee Jung-hyun are the talented actors who star in the adaptation.

Yeon Sang-ho, known for his work on Train to Busan and Peninsula, is both directing the project and writing scripts alongside Ryu Yong-jae, who has also worked on Peninsula and Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area. Kwon Hae-hyo and Kim In-kwon are also part of the cast in the series.

The upcoming production will be inspired by the manga, but it will introduce a fresh and original storyline.

Jeon portrays Jeong Su-in, who becomes the victim of a parasite. However, instead of succumbing to its control, she develops a peculiar coexistence with it.

Koo’s personality Seol Kang-woo is on a mission to track down parasites in order to locate his beloved younger sister who has gone missing.

Lee portrays the leader of The Grey, a dedicated task force fighting against parasites, who tragically lost her husband to these creatures.

Hitoshi Iwaaki’s original manga was serialized in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine from 1990-1995.

The manga is set in a world where alien beings known as Parasites invade Earth and begin assimilating humans by infiltrating their bodies through their noses and ears, latching onto their brains.

Migi, the alien, can only inhabit Shinichi Izumi’s right arm, leaving Shinichi with some control over his own body.

Migi and Shinichi develop a harmonious relationship as they face off against other Parasites who view humans solely as a source of sustenance.

The manga was adapted into a television anime in 2014, along with two live-action films in 2014 and 2015.
