The latest issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine announced on Tuesday that Shun Matsuena’s Kimi wa 008 (You Are 008) manga will conclude in five chapters.
The manga reached its peak in 2021.
Kimi wa 008: Story
The spy action story revolves around Eito Akashi, a high school student who is feeling disheartened about the possibility of failing his exams. Despite not recalling taking his exams, he is notified that he has successfully passed them. He finds himself thrown into a world he never knew existed, as the school he attends turns out to be a secret agent training center.
Matsuena debuted the manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday in February 2018.
The 30th compiled book volume of the manga was published by Shogakukan on Monday.
The manga KenIchi the Mightiest Disciple, created by Matsuena, had a long run from 2002 to 2014 in Shonen Sunday.
The manga led to a television anime series that was released in North America by Funimation.
The manga also served as the inspiration for a series of original video anime episodes that were eventually broadcasted on Japanese television.
