Fortnite Bringing Back Rare Skin After Over Two Years

When Fortnite’s Janky skin comes back to the Item Shop for a sixth time, it will have been locked away for almost 850 days. Fortnite has released tens of thousands of cosmetic items over time.

Different kinds of cosmetics started to show up in the Item Shop when new game modes like Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival was released.

As if the growing number of Battle Royale items weren’t enough, all of these additions helped the game grow in size as well.

For Fortnite Season OG, Epic Games only shrunk the Item Shop’s size back in November 2023 to make it more like the shop in Chapter 1.

This was only temporary, and the Item Shop returned as soon as Chapter 5 Season 1 went live and the game went back to normal.

Because of updates and changes that have been made to it, it is now better, and it can be divided into different categories that make it easier to search and move around.

Since there are so many cosmetics, fans are constantly waiting for a certain item to turn back, even though the shop typically has more than 50 turns per day.

ShiinaBR, a well-known leaker in the Fortnite community, claims that Janky is now set to return to the Item Shop on April 18 after it updates at 8 PM ET.

Because it has only been in the Item Shop for a total of five full days, this skin is easily one of the rarest in Fortnite.

It was first released for four days on December 22, 2021, as part of Chapter 2 Season 8 back in September 2021.

Because it wasn’t a popular cosmetic item among players at the time of its release, it can also be regarded as rare.

When Does Janky Release in the Item Shop?

  • April 18 at 8 PM ET

The new J Balvin skin will be released as part of the 2024 Coachella event in Fortnite on the same day that Janky is released.

Gamers who’d like to buy the Janky skin might want to get the Janky Bundle instead. Janky includes Janky’s Stunt Helmet back bling and costs 1,500 V-Bucks.

The bundle, which includes Janky’s Dead Fish pickaxe and is worth 800 V-Bucks, is available to fans for an additional 300 V-Bucks.

Even though it’s always great to see rare skins return to Fortnite, some players weren’t too happy when they found out that Janky would be the chosen one this time.

Some leaks said more God of War skins would be coming to Fortnite during the ancient Greek mythology season. Many gamers are still waiting for these skins, especially Kratos.
