TOHO Movies announced in a trailer on Wednesday that the 31st 2D animated film of the Crayon Shin-chan franchise, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyōryū Nikki (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary), is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on August 9.
The trailer also presents the film’s theme park setting, Dino’s Island:
For a limited time, theaters are providing 75,000 advance tickets along with a capsule charm of “Dinosaur Shin-chan.”

The movie will depict the bond between the Nobara family’s pet dog, Shiro, and a “small dinosaur.”
Their strong bond contributes to the development of Shinnosuke and the Kusakabe Defense Squad.
Shinobu Sasaki, who has directed numerous Duel Masters anime series, including the 2017, 2018, and 2019 Duel Masters TV anime, is at the helm of the film.
Moral, who scripted the Crayon Shin-chan TV series, wrote the screenplay.

The 30th 2D animated film in the Crayon Shin-chan series, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Mononoke Ninja Chinpūden, premiered in Japan in April 2022.
