Aniplex unveiled a fresh addition to its Aniplex.exe brand called Tanetsumi no Uta at its booth during Anime Japan 2024. The game will be available for PC this year and will include language support for Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese.
Kazuki, a member of the dōjin (indie) story group Studio Hommage, is responsible for planning and writing the scenario for the Tanetsumi no Uta game.
popman3580 (Jellyfish Can’t Swim at Night) and Maniani are in charge of the character designs.
Moeki Harada, the composer of the music for Alchemy Stars and NIKKE, is working on the project. The game is being directed by Yow (ATRI: My Dear Moments-).
iMel Inc. handles all programming tasks.
Sola will be performing the opening theme song “Yoru o Koeru” (Cross the Night), while Rita will be performing the titular ending theme song “Tanetsumi no Uta.”
Tanetsumi no Uta: Story
The story of the visual novel starts with Misuzu, a young girl in the year 2023 who tragically lost her mother when she was young.
During her 16th birthday, Misuzu encounters Yoko, a girl who bears a striking resemblance to her late mother.
Yoko asserts that she hails from the year 1996 and has been selected by the Netherworld as the priestess tasked with conducting the Tokoyami ritual, which enables gods to alter generations prior to the arrival of a corrupting force referred to as the True Winter.
She embarks on a journey through time to meet Misuzu, and together they venture into the future year of 2050.
There, they encounter Misuzu’s 16-year-old daughter and a friendly boat pilot who introduces himself as Hiruko, claiming to be Misuzu’s younger brother.
The four of them join forces to confront the challenges of the True Winter.
Aniplex introduced the Aniplex.exe “novel game” brand in December 2019.
The brand has recently released the first two works, ATRI: My Dear Moments and Adabana Itan (Adabana Odd Tales), in both English and Japanese in June 2020.
Aniplex.exe later launched the Hirahira Hihiru game in June 2023.
