World of Warcraft Classic Reveals Raid Lockout Details for Season of Discovery Phase 4

Joshua Greenfield, the senior game producer for World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery, stated that Molten Core would keep its one-week lockout in order to match its initial rig. This was in response to player feedback.

Additionally, Greenfield mentioned that players of World of Warcraft will experience shorter raid lockouts on Onyxia’s Lair, as well as the world bosses Azuregos and Lord Kazzak, all of which will unlock twice within a single week.

During the fourth phase of Season of Discovery, players of World of Warcraft have the opportunity to reach the original level cap of sixty and unlock the final talent points for each class.

The Alliance faction will grant a new buff called “Might of Stormwind” to players who have reached level 60.

This buff is a direct counter to the “Warchief’s Blessing” buff that Horde players already had.

In addition, players will have access to high-level zones in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, and epic mounts will be available for purchase.

While Blizzard has not disclosed any information regarding the Runes that players will be able to acquire during the fourth phase of Season of Discovery, a new event known as Blackrock Eruption will be introduced in the Searing Gorge and the Burning Steppes.

This event will provide players with the opportunity to earn reputation points with the Thorium Brotherhood and the Hydraxian Waterlords.

Despite the fact that the Molten Core and Onyxia’s Lair will provide players of World of Warcraft with additional gear to collect, the process will be subject to certain restrictions.

According to a post on the Blizzard forum, Greenfield stated that a plan to put Molten Core on the same twice-weekly lockout as Onyxia’s Lair and two world bosses was abandoned as a result of player feedback.

Therefore, the Tuesday weekly raid lockout period that players of World of Warcraft are accustomed to will be utilised by Molten Core.

At the same time, Greenfield confirmed that Onyxia’s Lair, Lord Kazzak, and Azuregos would be unlocked on Tuesdays and Saturdays of each week.

Following the launch of the fourth phase of Season of Discovery on Thursday, July 11, the modifications will be implemented on separate dates.

World of Warcraft: Season Of Discovery Raid Lockout Changes

  • Molten Core will remain on a weekly raid lockout, per player feedback.
  • Onyxia’s Lair, Lord Kazzak, and Azuregos will have twice-weekly lockouts on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
  • The changes will go into effect after World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery phase four launches on July 11.

The Molten Core and Onyxia’s Lair will go live on July 25, and Lord Kazzak and Azuregos can be fought as instanced world bosses starting on July 18.

However, compared to their previous iterations, accessing the Molten Core and Onyxia’s Lair in Season of Discovery may be easier.

An item that would make it much easier to enter Onyxia’s Lair could be traded and sold to World of Warcraft players in some capacity, according to the data mining information that was obtained.

It remains to be seen whether or not that new item will be accepted by live servers. It is possible that the fourth phase of World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery is the best time for players to enter the game.

This is because the raid lockout have been changed, and some Runes have been converted into baseline class skills.
