Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian, gave fans a much-needed update on the famous bad guy.
Since the first season of The Mandalorian, Moff Gideon has been the show’s most famous and scary bad guy. Esposito’s dramatic performance and commanding presence make his character one of the scariest and most powerful people in the Star Wars universe.
In the last episode of season 3 of The Mandalorian, the character died when an Imperial facility where he was killed by a star destroyer crashed into it. The untimely passing of Moff Gideon disappointed fans as a result. But according to Esposito, his character might still return to the show.
Esposito said he was excited to play Moff Gideon again in The Mandalorian, even though the character died in the season 3 finale, while speaking on a panel at Mega Con Orlando (via Star Wars Net).
He’s determined not to give up on his character, even though he doesn’t know how he could be on the show again. “What you put out is what you receive,” Esposito said. “And I think your mind can control a lot of your circumstances.
” If you’re in the right frame of mind, you can get through a lot of any circumstance. Moff Gideon is not dead because I am not going to die!”

Some fans think that his return would make things more interesting. In the last season, Gideon was trying to clone people.
A lot of fans think that the character who died at the end might have been a Moff Gideon clone because he didn’t have a mustache. It won’t be easy for the showrunners to include that story line, even though this entire scenario seems exciting.
The showrunners and Lucasfilm would undoubtedly be interested in bringing this character back, but it’s unclear how and when.
Fans of the Mandalorian world are always thrilled when an update is made public. The title The Mandalorian and Grogu, a Mandalorian spin-off film, will start production later this year, it has already been confirmed.
