Places To Find Sims 4 Frog
Some Sims worlds have more collectibles than others, and the same goes for locating frogs.
For example, in Willow Creek, and particularly in the Sylvan Glade secret lot, you’ll find a larger number of frogs compared to San Myshuno, which is more urban.
Hidden areas typically contain a greater variety of frog species compared to their surrounding environments, particularly including uncommon frogs.
You can find them in logs, but that may not be the most ideal option.
The ideal locations to gather them are in urban cities like San Mishuno parks, city lakes, beaches, and small ponds.
In places abundant with greenery like Granite Falls, you might have better luck catching different types of frogs.
Usually, you’ll come across Sims 4 frogs in various ponds, each pond containing unique frog species.
Keep in mind that capturing them doesn’t always mean you’ll be able to add them to your collection, as they could escape from your Sims’ grasp.
How Do You Breed Your Sims 4 Frog?
If you happen to miss any type, you can breed them to complete your collection and create new types. The rules for breeding frogs in The Sims 4 are straightforward.
They come in different levels of rarity, which will determine their worth if you choose to sell them. You can collect and use a total of 25 frog types for breeding.
Two variables or two types of gene characteristics, are involved in the breeding process.
Simply put, each frog species is part of two breeding groups.
- The initial variable is a type of frog: eggplant, leaf, dirt, sunflower, and heart.
- The second variable describes different attributes of frogs, such as plain, striped, spotted, whirl, and surf.
Mixing Sims 4 Frogs Genes
Combining variables from the first and second groups will result in a new frog breed.
For example, you can crossbreed a frog from the sunflower group with one from the leaf and whirl group.
With each frog having two variables, there is a 25% probability of obtaining the desired frog by combining them.
For example, combining a frog with spots with an eggplant frog can result in a Spotted Eggplant frog.
In order to breed, you will need to have two of those creatures in your Sim’s inventory. Select a frog for breeding by clicking on it and then choose their breeding partner by selecting “Breed”.
This action will result in the addition of a new frog to your collection. The game will let you know about its breed through notifications.
