Consumable glamour prisms can be used to temporarily alter an object’s appearance to mimic that of another.

You may get them from a number of different places, but getting them from your Grand Company is by far the best option.

Glamour prisms are a hit with the masses.

You can instantly transform that potent but unsightly new piece of gear into something more fashionable.

The glamour system in XIV is the game’s equivalent to the “transmogrification” feature found in other games.

You can use a glamour prism to make an item look like a different weapon, boot, chest piece, wedding dress, etc., for a small fee.

Because some of the gear you find is absolutely terrible, this is a godsend.

Since I’m not exactly a trendsetter, there were moments when it seemed like my Dark Knight was sporting a knockoff Optimus Prime outfit purchased from eBay.

You can’t fool somebody into thinking your huge sword is actually a pair of cool daggers, for example.

However, the glamour system provides a great deal of leeway in terms of how your character looks.

There are a plethora of choices for pretty about every piece of equipment, and if you’re serious about looking your best, you’ll need a regular supply of prisms.

Let’s examine some possibilities, then.

Buy Glamour Prisms From Your Grand Company

This is, without a doubt, the most efficient means of amassing Glamour Prisms.

To help get you started, we’ve provided a link to each of the vendors’ physical sites.

You’ll need Company Seals to buy them, but you can get those rather easily by completing things like Duty Roulettes, FATEs, Grand Company Hunting Logs, and Leves.

You can do a tonne of stuff in the game and get nothing but a slew of Seals as a reward.

Clearly, there are a variety of other applications for these Seals.

You can spend them at vendors to increase your Grand Company rank or buy new equipment, but you won’t have as much use for them after a while.

If you play often enough, you will eventually accumulate more of them than you can possibly use.

The weight once placed on them has waned.

These items can be purchased from your Grand Company at no additional cost to you, as they are simply in-game incentives for achieving certain in-game milestones.

Therefore, everyone benefits.

Buy Glamour Prisms From The Market Boards

Market Boards can be found in most major cities, and it is possible to purchase large quantities of prisms there.

Now, your pricing strategy must adapt to the whims of your competitors.

And it’s likely that they acquired them from their Grand Company’s surplus of Seals.

If you’re in a sluggish mood, go ahead and take a couple, but don’t expect this to be a cost-effective long-term solution.

Make Glamour Prisms Yourself

From level 30, players of any crafting class can create their own glamour prisms.

Having the glamour system unlocked is also necessary, but it is not difficult to do so. Get in touch with Swyrgeim in Vesper Bay.

It follows that a level 30 craftsman with the glamour ability unlocked is functionally complete.

To make your own Glamour Prisms, you’ll also need some “Clear Prism.”

Here is a list of all the places where the various sellers can be found.

To my mind, the easiest way to use Company Seals is still through the Grand Company, but this is a fine alternative if you need to use them for something else.

Some Glamour Prism Tips And Tricks

You won’t need as many Glamour Prisms if you form the practise of using them properly.

Using the Glamour Dresser found in every inn room, you can essentially turn any item into a permanent glamour if you adore an outfit but know the stats won’t be of any value to you (because you’re not likely to level another job that would need it).

You can store an item in your Glamour Dresser forever as an appearance at the cost of a single glamour prism if its durability is at 100 percent (that is, it is unworn or has been entirely mended).

You can then use this component in conjunction with others to make a Glamour Plate.

In major cities, you can freely switch between your Glamour Plates, which serve as a kind of wardrobe storage without the need to carry around each and every piece of your costume.

Furthermore, the only expense associated with employing Glamour Plates is the first glamour prism needed to move the item to the dresser.

So, if you have a few favorite outfits, put them away in your closet; you’ll save a tonne of money in the long run.
